ya know, when i found the email day was today, i was pretty happy. i have tuesdays off and every other week, i spend nearly all day, cleaning, laundry, organizing and other misc chores, so i would have been around the house most of the day anyway. but the computer is upstairs and my neice has my laptop right now and i have done probably at least 50 trips up and down the stairs today checking my email every 5-10 mins. there is only 30 mins left. Houston; i think we have a problem **edit** with 25 mins left, now getting reports of emails received on facebook
I have been checking all afternoon too. Now it's time to shut this computer down and go home. Maybe that email will be waiting for me when I get home.
Thanks for reserving your place in automotive history. The Nissan LEAF™ has limited availability. by June 30, 2010 we will provide you with more details regarding availability of Nissan LEAF in your market and how to begin preparing your home for your new car. confirmation number: XXXXXXA amount charged: $99 reserved on: 04/20/2010
Website tips: Turn on cookies - the site does a bad job checking and puts you in and endless loop. Use Internet Explorer - If you use Firefox it throws an error when you try to pay.
I used a Lake Tahoe CA address - don't know that it makes any difference. The confirmation still has the limited release disclaimer - so we still don't know if they intend to sell only through release market dealers, or if they intend to sell only to release market inhabitants or none of the above. Guess we'll find out more by 30 June.
I'd post or PM you the link - but it looks like the link has a personal ID built into it. You end up at the same page as the "reserve your LEAF" button points to, but there is a little yellow circle on the right that says - "get started" It then goes through a registration process - have to choose the color and the model (2 models available and the cheaper one appears like it will be more limited). They ask a bunch of questions. (Don't register through the register link (not the email signup link) ahead of time - it won't let you use that registration). For daily commute distance - enter 50 miles For charger - enter attached garage With those checked, you seem good to go. If you choose some other options it bounces you.
well, 6:05PM here in "EDT" time to go home. It appears they are not sending the emails to the east coast preregistration people yet, everyone seems to be on the left coast so far who has gotten the email.
What color'd you pick? I took white ... the model with options fully loaded: http://priuschat.com/forums/nissan-hybrids-evs/79361-1pm-4-20-deposit-email-get-yet.html .
Still nothing for me, they just posted on FB that they've extended the email time until 9pm ET!! They posted that at 6:01 ET!!! That's just ridiculous
black - the "loaded" model where "loaded" appears to mean the car has: ○ fog lights ○ rear view mirror ○ solar panel spoiler ○ garage door opener ○ auto on/off headlights ○ cargo cover and some type of system which sounds like it may be tracking of where you are and where power taps are
i dont blame you Evan. seems to me they knew they were having problems way before 6 pm. could have posted that a bit sooner i think
Stupid Nissan site won't let me in on my iPod touch (browser device used most of the time). So, I guess I'll have to find my real computer. I don't expect to be in any initial rollout, being in the cold, expensive electricity state of new Hampshire can't help.
