latest # of HOV stickers issued?

Just got our stickers yesterday after sending in the application on the 22nd of September.

Traded in my 2003 Prius for a 2006; Before the trade removed the HOV stickers and mailed them with a REPLACEMENT application Sept 15 06; The check cleared Oct 1 . I expect the stickers any time this week

Stickers issued Oct 14 - arrived today

 

2006 Barcelona Red/Bisque Package 8 (NW)

9/2 - Ordered Prius
9/9 - Went to dealer and did paperwork (paid for car)
9/14 - Got Fastrak account and transceiver
9/18 - Delivery of Prius
9/22 - Got DMV plates
9/23 - Mailed sticker application
9/28 - Checked cashed (online banking)

10/8 - Not sure where my stickers are. After reading through this forum; most folks got their stickers abt 1 week after the check cashed. Called the 916 DMV number and the lady said that it could take up to 3 weeks after they cash the check. Has anyone had to wait a while for their stickers?

 

Does anyone know if the prius touring edition is also eligible for carpool sticker, i am most probably getting one this wekend

 

My check was cashed on 9/22, but I did not receive stickers until 10/6 almost 2 weeks later. So yes, it can take a while to get your stickers. It also took a while for them to cash my check (My Prius was purchased in July)

The version of the Prius makes no difference. Question is- are there any left (stickers) or do you have to wait until Jan 1, 2007 when the AB 2600 goes into effect.

Plates Received 28th Sept
Send HOV application 28th Sept (next day delivery)
Check Cleared 3rd Oct
Still waiting for stickers

 

Just got my stickers today, number 0791XX.

Insert in envelope from the DMV stated the program was set to expire Jan 1, 2008, so it looks like my sticker was issued from the original allocation.

I took a chance and sent in the application prior to getting my plates; seems to have paid off!

I suppose you used the temporary registeration number? Also how did you apply for FasTrak? I just called FasTrak today, and the man said they don't accept temporary license.

Finally got them 10/13. Issue date of 10/4 so it took a while for them to send it off. Number 78xxx

 

Going to pick my new prius touring today in the evening.. dealer will get the license plates within a week. I will apply for the carpool sticker after that..hopefully i will get a sticker

 

called the SPU phone number this morning. the person answered the phone wasn't very informative. but he said they're gonna continue issuing stickers until the ARB tells them to stop. and he said they are currently processing application received on 09/05, which i don't think is true.

For both the FasTrak application and the sticker application, I just used the temporary registration number, and wrote "new vehicle" in the space for the license plate number.

I forget what the exact timeline was, but I ordered the car in early July, received the car in early September, got my FasTrak transponder in mid September and my stickers in mid October.

 

I submitted my application on 9/25/2006.
Check cashed 10/6/2006.
Received stickers on 10/20/2006 (800XX)!

 

I just thought I would share this story. I just learned my lesson not to send cash through the mail. I was currently in the middle of changing my banks and was issued temporary checks. Well my dealer plates arrived in the mail about an hour after I wrote out my last check. I was so anxious to get my application in the mail because I was told there were only a 1000 left that I quickly filled in the plate number on the application, put $8 cash in the envelope and sent it off. After 2 weeks of waiting nervous, hoping they were not going to run out of stickers I finally got a notice from the D.M.V stating my application was incomplete because there was no $8 with it. Unbelievable! This was the D.M.V. I have heard that you should never put cash in the mail, and I know I could have sent a cashiers check, but I was leaving on a 3-day deep sea fishing trip that night and did not want to delay it any longer. Anyways I mailed it off again with a check and will now have to wait and see. I guess I learned my lesson.

p.s My Prius is sweet. B) I am looking forward to sending photos as soon as the sportivo kit arrives. I ordered it 3 weeks ago and according to Toyota it should arrive the second week of January. What the xxxx! :angry:

INCORRECT- Issuing the extra 10,000 after the intial 75,000 only go into effect on JAN. 1, 2007. AB 2600 bill goes into effect on Jan 1, 2007 not before.

So it the DMV going to HOLD the applications until Jan 1?

 

Picked up my pirus touring at the dealer on thursday (10/19), the delar has cashed the check for the payment of the car, i think i should be getting the license plate within this week. will be applying for carpool sticker hopefully by the end of this week.
