the original poster/seller of vehicle hasn't responded in over 10 days so it may be sold, but for the sake of argument... - $3,704 down = he wants $4,000 minus $296.11 (two payments that he'll pay) - $4,591 = 31 payments to be made by new owner - $16,000 = residual - ($1,444) = desirable aftermarket options $22,851 = total cost to new owner IMHO...probably a good deal for today's overpriced market
Hi Avocadoman, Thanks. Yes, I agree with you on all counts - 10 days, its probably a done deal, and it does pencil out as a pretty good, relative deal. I'd think the lease company might see some value in getting their money now instead of over many years and discount for cash. I see you have a salvage title Prius. You're either very knowledgeable or very brave. Take care john
I'll take it at $2500 down if that would help. How much per mile over? It's usually 20 cents. It is easy to go over by 10%-20% unless used exclusively as a conmuter. Let me know. Thanks.
that was pre-tsunami and when gas was under $3. funny how times have changed in less than 6 months, huh? fortunately, once Prii inventory is increased and the general public accepts the new reality of $4+/gallon gas, new and used vehicles will be plentiful. but it could be another 6-9 months...
Sorry for the late response... I lost track of this thread. I just wanted to let you all know, I did actually end of getting rid of the car. I traded it into my local Lexus dealer. They paid me all my monies back in full (down payment, tax, registration, monthly payments etc) and paid me $500 additionally for the fog lights and rocker panel moulding. I ended up walking out with a 2009 Lexus GX470. Fully loaded every option, silver on black. Love it, except the 20mpg im averaging lol.
Sorry for the stock pics, mine is identical to this one.. I haven't had time to snap a pic of mine yet.
