Don't do that. You're removing an important element of the duster.

Instead, if you follow the instruction card, and place the duster on a paper grocery bag for a day or 2, it will absorb any excess paraffin wax.

I was afraid of that. I guess I'll have to get into the habit of washing my car more often.

    Mike,
If you can somehow convince yourself you're having fun washing/waxing/dusting/detailing...etc... :music:

There are many good detailers that do not require much work. I often use Meguiars Ultimate or Meguiars NXT after I rinse the car and it dries with some light spots. The car is no longer dusty but it really doesn't look nice. Some of the products say to use them when the car is either wet or dry. I find it is not as time consuming to rinse it with a hose, spray some detailer on the wet car and as you dry, it really shines up nice. Just read the directions and find one that lets you spray it on while the car is wet, then let it drip dry for a bit, come back out and finish it off. Saves a lot of trouble and is really good for the in between cleaning.

One of the best detailers I have found is Lucas. Not expensive, usable on wet or dry surfaces and leaves a shine that beads water, which most do not (Meguiars Ultimate does too). I also cut corners by only doing the horizontal surfaces, since they seem to gather the most dust and you get the most bang for your buck by cleaning the hood and trunk (I know we don't really have a trunk, but that makes it much easier). I usually skip the roof because it is higher than I usually look. It takes me about 5 minutes to do the hood, front and rear windows and the spoiler. Car looks detailed and shiny.

That's basically what I do when I'm with my girlfriend. No, not wash/wax, etc., but to convince myself than I'm having fun.

Whoa, I think she just threw something at me.

Actually, thus far it's been rather fun washing my car. But the waxing part was a little bit of work, even with the new and easier spray waxes that I have.

I was just looking for a short cut.

And spray waxes really don't do anything for you, sorry to say, unless you apply them with each wash.
