    The headlights look awesome!
Let me know how you like your EV mode switch. I was thinking about getting one too, but unsure if I have a use for it since most of my driving is highway (55+Mph).

Sooo... found out that 200 degrees and 10 min isn't hot enough to seperate the taillamp assembly enough so I could paint the brake lens black. Not sure if anyone has successfully done this or not. I was really hoping to get the factory look w/o paying for a 04-05 lens :(

Want to go from this on my 08:

    To this:

    Without tinting the outside lens...

However...I did make it back to WrapCity San Diego...

Couldn't decide between the darker and silver Carbon fiber...

went with the darker...matches the roof better. But not pay $499 to Sigma for a "cover" for my spoiler..

    So I wrapped mine..

Removed the spoiler for a tighter, cleaner, more seamless wrap. Its held on by three 'clips', several pieces of double sided tape and four 10mm bolts.

After having done the Carbon Fiber... I'm not sure i'm really content with the look...

What do you think would look better... GLOSS BLACK or the Current CARBON FIBER?

I'll try to post some better pictures of the current...

if i was gonna do it, i'd match the roof. if the roof is carbon = spoiler carbon. roof black = spoiler black. nice dark tint you got to go with it, too.

It's not that bad. :) In my case, I left my tail as-is because having it black makes the flow of the black accent (roof to tail) sort of jagged and gives the car an odd shape at the end. Reminds me of a black hole. :cautious: By having something to break the "blackness" we're able to see the shape of the car while still maintaining "flow" to the back end. here's some photoshopped samples below which made me decide not to make the tail black.

i kinda like all blacked out. too cheap to do it to mine, which is also why i still got the factory wheels. got to tint those windows.

I think i might get the Spoiler re-wrapped with gloss black... haven't decided...I'm really liking the look of the Gen3 Gloss black spoilers also. Think it will tie in nicely with the Gloss black roof and dark tint. but....... i can't decide! Carbon roof w/ carbon spoiler or Black roof w/ black spoiler...

I think it looks good the way it is, but if you do it over, I'd say gloss black on the spoiler.

Hey, Justdidit, something you might want to check out since you just got your 2008, and anyone out there who just bought their Prius.

I've recently discovered that my 12v battery has been dying. Here's a link to another post how to check your 12v battery through your MFD. - Typical lifetime of 12V battery... | Page 2 | PriusChat

Time for another Mod... Optima yellow top here I come!
I ordered it from www.batterymart.com ordered it on aug 20th, arrived by fedex on aug 21. Took about 45 min to install.

easy. just pick the lighter of the 2 wheels. on the other hand, i sure wouldn't want to pay for 18" tires. yeeouch.

I don't think 18x8.5 will fit even if you roll your fenders. I may be wrong but I remember a few years ago that someone tried Wedssports TC005's that were 8.5" wide and they didn't work.

You may be correct with the 8" vs 8.5" - I'm looking into even a 19" - Really like the look from user 'Turnerhdr' and his ride 'look' - His setup HERE

How much did the vinyl roof wrap cost you? Thinking about doing it to my white Prius. Your ride looks awesome by the way!

    AvanteGarde M310 largest in 8" in 18x8 but 23.3lbs

Found out TSW makes a similar Nurburgring 19x8 :) but at 20.55lbs still quite a step up in weight over factory... Gonna need to rethink this :(
