Even with new bracket the DC bolt doesn't line up perfectly - 1st attempt of drilling a new hole failed, easy fix tho... Note the exhaust flange that was made...

At this time, no noticeable loss in torque (luckily for the MG2) - however the gains in the higher RPM range is def better. Doesn't appear to be any dB increase either in the exhaust...intake noise is loud enough. Can't wait to finish the exhaust with some Magnaflow mufflers.

    Keep Modding!

Nicely done! Are you planning to upgrade the long pipe as well? Does the inner diameter of the DC back end and stock long pipe front end match?

Not much point upgrading the header when it still converges into a small pipe. :p

Would be good if you can have a straight pipe custom made and fit larger OEM cats along the way. ;)

The DC header didn't line up with the Prius header back system. I had a custom flange made to mate the aftermarket header to the 2" piping leading into the 1st catalytic converter. Also had to get a different exhaust doughnut. Seen in the picture below, I'll try to get better pictures later.

As I mentioned early, this was just the beginning. :)

Next on the list is to cut off the 2nd catalytic converter and resonator and replacing them with (2) 6"x14" round Magnaflow mufflers using all 2" piping. From there I will entertain the idea of dumping the exhaust after the 2nd muffler and if its a little too loud, I may do the remainder in 2" mandrel bends and add a 7" round Magnaflow in the back.

Have you thought about trying a cheery bomb glasspack?

    Cherry Bomb

    Happy Modding!;)

Magnaflow has a muffler called the Magnapack #10444 with 2" in/outlet and 4" round body similar to the cherry bomb glasspacks. I used those on my first car back in '91 - wasn't a fan of the sound. Even considering such muffler I measured the oem resonator and its closer to 6" round body. So I'm pretty sure I'm going with (2) Magnaflow #12614 with 2"in/outlet 14" long and 6" round body.

'Rollin on rubber bands...' - yup! Car corners even flatter than before... Have noticed a 3-4mpg loss - mainly city driven - highway not nearly as impacted...but soooo worth the look considering I'm still whooping most non-prius family cars on the road for mpg still!...

Potholes yes, legit speed bumps are not so much an issue....and the ones we do have, I've become more aware of where they are on my normal routes so I can either avoid them all together or know when/how to get around them.

you'd get pulled over and breathalized if you tried to weave around all the bumps in some areas... it does look sharp w/ those rims though.

    Loveley job with the puddle-lights;
It isn't possible to mount them a little bit furter to the exterior of the mirror, in order to light more of the pavement and less of the door?

    Thanks!

Possibly, I was concerned with the light conflicting with the movement of the Mirror motor. Let me see if I have a better picture of the light and motor setup.

What did you do with your stock wheels? Are you willing to sell them? My chrome plated ones aren't looking so good.
