Shoot me a PM with your Address and I will mail it from the post office in an envelope.

I have scrap pvc and it only takes me 5 minutes or less to make one.

A band saw would be the hot ticket for ripping that pvc in the middle if you can find one that you can use.

My band saw is dead. It was about 75 years old. Was my grand fathers. Splitting the pipe is not to difficult with a reciprocating saw but a table saw with a fine blade may also work...

I would recommend this if you have a good relationship with your landlord and don't mind spend some money. I also rent and was able to get my landlord to agree to installing an external outlet (since I was willing to pay for it).

The best part was that I got to specify the installation (i.e. new dedicated circuit, thicker gauged wire than needed, proper gfci outlet, etc) so I knew that my setup was safe.

Many electric garage door openers have limit screws to adjust how far the door closes/opens. You may be able to simply adjust the close screw so there is a gap left.
