Should be plug and play, you already have a heavy gauge wire coming into that block which should be where they tap into for the terminal. If anyone is near southern WV i'd be willing to swap yours and take pics.

so for the people who dont have the jump connection (i still havent checked my C1 for it) there is already a heavy gauge positive wire coming there? the main reason i ask is because when i do hids, i want to do 55w but i want to run a relay. and if theres no positive heavy guage wire under the hood then i will not install 55w and get 35w.

If you look at John's pics on the first page, the empty area where the terminal should be you can see a bolt head with a red line down near the white connector towards the bottom of the pic. That is the feed wire for that terminal from what I can see on our Habanero C. BTW, someone called the dealer a bit ago from FL and asked one of our advisors about this. Call back and ask for me if you have further questions. If someone will provide me their VIN and pic (John?) of their 2013 that DOES NOT have the terminal, I will submit a DPR to Toyota regarding this issue.

********Disclaimer********* Toyota has not authorized this repair, this will be considered a non-OEM modificaion if you have this performed on your vehicle.

Accessories and parts listed for your vehicle by VIN. As noted the updated P/N for that block is for after 12/12 production. Unless they issue a TSB (which is why I'm submitting a DPR) you're installing a part that technically "wasn't designed for your vehicle". Am I saying it won't work, no. I'm confident that it should. Just be prepared to hear something similar from your dealer when you ask them to swap it.

My Parts Manager has agreed to order both blocks so I can compare them side by side. Will post pics when we get them.

i did make a claim with toyota headquarters, my thing is the part is for a 2013 when it was manafactured shouldnt matter, and it should be taken care by toyota and be warranted.

On the Toyota parts system that part is listed by production date. Though I agree with you, they can argue that point based on the information given.

So technically, HID lights are non-OEM parts. Homelink mirrors, backup cameras and rear hatch lights are all non-OEM parts as well.

If they want to be picky, yes. Of course you're in SET region so that's even worse. There is always a battle with them when we get an SET vehicle that has an issue with one of their "OEM" parts.

He checked with southeast toyota and called out to tecnical support on califorinia and the is no terminal under the hood in the fuse box. im so confused ive seen pictures i dont know what to do.

sounds like the only way to get it is to modify it yourself.

since nowhere is toyota advertising this feature, they aren't liable to "modify" your car to have it.
