    Doesn't that require membership?

Lots of people swear by Michelins. I've had them in the past and they were great.

I'm almost certainly going with Michelins when my current set need replacing. I had great experience with them in the past too.

"Defender" offers better braking, handling, and wear as a tradeoff for efficiency with "Energy Saver A/S". Anyone know how much of a hit that really equates to?

Check. A US member (@JC91006 IIRC) mentioned a while back that you didn't need membership to buy tires.

In Canada I'm pretty sure you do need membership.

It does but who wants to bother folding it up & trying to fit it in its case?

End of the first calendar month. It's not a full month yet, since I didn't get the car till March 7, but what's a week between friends?

    IMG_0198.jpg
Thats 995 miles for the month including before I got it. And 392.02 MPG including test drives before I got it.

    IMG_2552.JPG
Current tank is 920.1 miles at 470.43 MPG.

Actually, L/100km numbers that low are pretty imprecise. It could be considerably better if it's really 0.46 or worse if it's 0.54. :D

Increasingly, this is a car that I don't want to get out of. I keep wanting to see what it can do.

I think the case is one of several things the original owner kept for himself (along with a fob, and the manuals). But it only takes a second to fold it. In the seat back pocket, there's no need fo a case as far as I can tell w/o actually trying it. Fact is, I've only ever removed mine to see if it worked like I expected and I've left it in place ever since.

Did you ever talk to the dealership, try to get the missing items from the previous owner?

I know one time we neglected to leave the Owner's Manual in the glove box, doing a trade-in. The dealership got in touch with us to confirm we had it, and the new owners swung by one evening, picked it up.

If by dealer you mean Todd, I would imagine so;).

And I’m sure Todd knows how to get ahold of @jerrymildred (y).

Todd replaced the missing fob right away without me needing to ask. I don't care about the printed manuals. They just waste what little space is in the glove box. And the bag for the tonneau cover is just clutter.

Also, Todd didn't get the car from the original owner. He got it from somewhere in the northeast that he uses to get cars down here that the Southeast Toyota distributors have more or less banned. (ie: plug-ins)

I very nearly forgot to give him the second fob for my PiP when I traded it in. I had to hurry back the next day. When I handed it to him, he said he was just about to call me. :D

About the only "useful" thing on the bag is the instructions for folding the cover.

I believe Todd bought the car on the wholesale market. Jerry said it was originally from New Jersey. It was likely not traded in at a Toyota dealer.

People need instructions for that??!!

Correct! (y) It would have to go through too many channels to be worth it or have any likelihood of success.

Like the warning label I once saw on a window screen cautioning people to not use it to support their weight? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I tend to leave my cover in place unless I am carrying something that will not fit well under it.
I usually have a small cooler in the back to be ready for the call, "Honey, do pick up a couple of gallons of milk on your way home!"

That new-style cover, maybe the folding instructions could be printed on a label and afixed to it. Watched a video of someone folding it, and yeah, I think I could use instructions, lol.

Now I gotta find the cover to post pictures! ;)
I am not sure it is even in the car.

I put Defenders on my PIP and didn't notice any mileage difference, nitrogen at 40psi.
