    Honestly I've thought of doing the door striker things too. I gotta hold off on mods for a while, I have a box of stuff I ordered sitting in my office not getting installed LOL

    HEY PRIUS CHAT FOLKS !!!

    Another 2012 Christmas Present has been installed !!!

    :):):):)

    The Two latest Modification for HBII are :

    01. JDM Toyota Japan Chrome Inside Door Handles (Purchased from eBay)

    02. LED Lighting (6000k) for the Inside Door Handles, Front Door Cup Holders, and all 4 Lower Door Speaker Enclosures.

    Let's Begin !!!

    JDM Toyota Japan Chrome Inside Door Handles

    Installation

    Removal of Two Screws :1st Behind the Inside the Upper Door Handle (To be pryed out)
    2nd Underneath the Lower Door Handle (To be removed)

    Once the screws are removed, the Complete Plastic Door can be safely removed from the Shell, you must remove the Electronic Plugs and Window / Lock Cables. My apologies as I do not have pictures for these.

    The Door Handles are easily removed and installed as there are only two tabs (Top & Bottom) fastening them securely in place. Reconnect all Electronic Plugs and Window / Lock Cables.

    Voila !!!

    Then it was time for ...

    LED Lighting (6000k) for the Inside Door Handles, Front Door Cup Holders, and all 4 Lower Door Speaker Enclosures.

    Due to the nature of this installation I am Not including a DIY. Only the finished outcome. I have connected all lighting with the Dome Light / Entry Combination Feature.

    Overall with both the Two Modifications these help to add more of the JDM/VIP look I am going for coupled with some LED Lighting to help brighten the interior for Door Entry and for Show Purposes !!!

    HEY GUYS !!!

    I purchased the LEDs from www.V-LEDS.com.

    I used the 1" Strip Lights for this application as they fit just about anywhere !!!

    They have different shades of White and other Colors available. I used the White 6000k color.

    It is a Toyota Owners and Restorers Club and they put on a Toyota Only car show at the Queen Mary in May. They have all different classes with there being one for Prius/Yaris. See the other thread I started for the interest sign up. Rodney also said he is going also.

    Did you ever install the dimming switch, and if so where did you place it? If I missed it I apologize ahead of time. I like the lights and the idea of being able to turn them at my choosing. Thanks for sharing all your good work!

    HEY BRIAN !!!

    I am currently in the process of switching out those lights that I originally installed with the same ones I newly installed on the doors. The older ones were a 5000k intensity and the new ones are at 6000k.

    I currently do not have plans on installing a dimming switch for these after all. I am looking to tap them into the dome courtesy switch which allows Full On, Full Off, or Door Entry.
