    Hey GOLDPIANOGARDEN !!!

    :):):):)

Unfortunately, I have yet to see the "Wide" version window visors manufactured for our Prius. I have searched all the Publications that I do have and haven't seen anything manufactured from Toyota or an aftermarket company.

In regards to the magazines purchased and posted by "Bino" please feel free to send him a private message and see if he is able to locate any "Wide" version window visors for you. He will also be able to tell you where you can find those magazines.

I have found my magazines through Kinokuniya: https://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/ohb/02/contents/storeinfo.html

    And Books Sanseido:
    Books Sanseido | Mitsuwa Marketplace

They are great resources and speak English.

Contact "Bino" for the ISBN numbers located on the back of each for reference.

And as far as the exotic mirrors I am sure if you search Google/Ebay/Amazon/etc. for an "aftermarket side mirror" you will be able to find something to your liking !!!

Please keep us updated with your progress !!!

    Hope this helps !!!

    Hi Rodney,
Have you noticed any issues with scrapping with your current setup? I just bought the Teins you have and I'm debating on the Five Axis lip kit. If you are scraping a lot it might help to make my decision. Thanks!

    HEY RUBEN !!!

    :):):):)

The Five Axis Kit isn't too aggressive to scrape with the Tein H Techs in my opinion.

It really depends on how you drive really, I am a fairly conservative driver and I just watch out for the usual speed bumps, declines, and inclines.

I think when you first get any kit, you should slowly and cautiously familiarize yourself with it's "whereabouts" in relation to the road. I've scraped before but it has helped me to better estimate in the long run. And so I hardly scrape anymore.

Overall I think you will be very pleased with this Polyurethane constructed kit. Unlike fiberglass, the Five Axis Kit can be flexed and withstand even minor impacts without cracking it. It utilizes all the current bolt locations. It is very user friendly as far as installation !!! It comes with all the supplemental hardware and instructions for ease of installation.

And they are a local Southern California based company so if you have any technical questions they aren't too far away !!!

I've had fiberglass kits before, and I must say I am very pleased with the integrity of the Five Axis Kit. The front end especially since it is exposed to many road obstacles.

    HEY PRIUS CHAT FOLKS !!!

    :):):):)

Latest update on the HB II Prius !!!

02-22-11 marked the 3M Crystalline Window Film installation from Tint Factory (www.tintfactory.net), in Los Angeles, Ca !!!

It has taken me quite sometime to decide on a Tint/Film for the ride since I purchased it in September of 2010.

There are many different Tints/Films out on the market claiming so many things !!!

I was referred to Tint Factory from Jeff at Longo Toyota, they were finished working on the Longo Project 2011 Scion tC which was wrapped in the Matte Film !!!

The professionals at Tint Factory have over 20 Years of experience, their staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and the quality of their work is outstanding !!! Coupled with the 3M Automotive Window Film, the quality is Top Notch !!!

The 3M Crystalline Automotive Window Film has MANY BENEFITS including:

    - Blocks 99.9% UV Rays
    - SPF 1000+ (Protection from UV, Sunburn, Premature Aging, and other seriousSkin Condtions)
    - Reduces Solar Heat up to 60% (A/C usage is reduced equates to MORE efficiency & MPGs !!!)
    - 97% Infrared Rays rejected
    - Non Metallized (Will not interfere with Phone/GPS/Satellite receptions)
    - Reduces Glare
    - Enhances Nightime Visibility
    - Never Turns Purple

    Lifetime Warranty

Here are the Pictures from that day !!!

    :):):):)

    I selected :

    CR50 for the Side Windows
    CR40 for the Rear Windows

I was recommended for this selection because I didn't want too dark of a tint, I wanted the vehicle to maintain some transparency from both the inside and out. I wanted visibility at night also to be as clear as possible.

That looks good Rodney. I like how the film is very transparent. Thanks also for recommending them to me. I'll have to give them a call one of these days.
One question I have for you: What is that Plug-in Prius doing park outside you house? You testing it?

    HI CALVIN !!!

    :):):):)

I really am impressed with the way the Film came out as well, the visibility remains real clear inside and outside its a nice "medium" tint. I didn't want to attract bad attention as much as possible.

Yes, I am testing the Prius PHV !!! I will have a review on that today !!!

    Hope you're having a great day !!!

Tint looks great Rodney! I've been contemplating switching mine out for 45% all round since 15% is pretty dark and while its nice, I would like to show off my interior a bit once everything gets done.

    Hey Andy !!!

    :):):):)

    Thanks buddy, I appreciate it.

That's exactly why I wanted to maintain some transparency to my Prius !!!

    It's like a "Teaser" view of what's inside !!!

    See ya soon !!!

Well you beat me to the punch. I was going to do the same thing but use the matt black instead of the CF. Came out very nice, good job Rodney.

The new tail light sits almost flush with that rear piece too.

Can't wait until later this week.
