OK but that's better than me ...we hit 50mpg the third 5 minute bar, then again, maybe I am reading too much in those display bars
Guys. Many thanks for all replies. What a great forum! I think I've decided on a late genII with lower miles. Is there anywhere I can find a FULL uk spec sheet for the car for the different trims etc? The only one I can find is here: Toyota Prius Hatchback (04-09) Car Review - Equipment | Parkers But it doesn't list everything that comes on the car only the main things
My 2ct: I'm struggling to install a reversing camera and I know how nice it is to have one (attached one to my JVC-radio in my Volvo). Still have to test some things, but I think I cannot install one on my MFD (MultiFunctionDisplay=touchscreen with info) due to me not having navigation. If you do have the Prius navigationsystem (which by itself is often considered worthless, as an update for the maps costs way more than a brandspanking new portable navigationsystem with up-to-date maps...), this is a lot easier. If you're not bothered about that, then nevermind
True, but from Recalls - Search Results | Safercar.gov | NHTSA (2010 was the first model year in the US of Gen 3, shipped beginning ~May 2009), neither the accelerator pedal nor window switch recalls applied to it. The potentially sticky accelerator pedal issue ONLY applied to Toyota's w/CTS made accelerator pedal assemblies which only went on North American assembled Toyotas (at least in the US). Japanese made Toyotas came w/Denso pedals have a totally different design and didn't have the issue. Priuses (at least for the US) are only made in Japan.
Very informative forum, we recently traded in our beloved Honda CRV for the Gen2 Prius T-Spirit from a Toyota dealership near Gatwick airport. unfortunatly we will be returning the car back this Sunday as there are too many issues and faults with the car that the dealership is not willing to fully repair like dents and scuffs on the paintwork (although all the electronic internal and cosmetic internal will be done) It took a while to get used to the Prius as the Honda being a 4*4 with full leather etc oozed with luxury features but as the days went by, the fuel consumption of the Prius, the ride itself and informative central screen has made us really enjoy driving it. With very mixed driving we manage to easily get 53-55 mpg, and that includes me putting my foot down too. We looked at other cars but kept being drawn back to the Prius for many reasons so it will be another Prius for us, hopefully 2009-2010 Gen3 if we can stretch our budget a bit or a very late Gen 2 with low milage that will still hold some residual value after 3 years. A quick question about the Gen3 T4 could i install an aftermarket Double Din headunit with Nav on it ? or would that mess up the display console?
welcome to priuschat! i think you can, there are many threads here on replacement heads, all the best!
Hello we opted for a t-spirit gen 3 was dropped off on Friday by the dealership and so far its been a pleasure to drive, ok the original head unit is a bit naff, but i will stick with it. I have however noticed something sticking into my back when i drive though as and cant seem to figure out how to remove it as its very painful after a long drive.
