IV vs. V? I need some guidance

    One other question you might ask yourself is, how good are the roads you drive on? I do a lot of city driving on bumpy roads and actually appreciate the extra 'cushion' of the higher-profile tires on the 15" wheels. If your roads are good, not an issue. But (as I learned from previous cars) it is surprisingly easy to bend alloy rims running low-profile tires driving on crummy roads or even just hitting the occasional unavoidable pothole--even with good tire pressure. Good luck in your decision--I suspect you won't regret either choice.

    To all that responded to my post, thank you for your thoughts.
    Last night, I took delivery on a 2010 Prius V with Nav, but no tech. It came with Toyo Proxes and is Barcelona Red with grey leather. I only have approx. 20 miles on it, so I don't have much to report, but I like what I'm feeling right now.
    So, we are a two Prius family now. My wife is driving the '08 and she seems happy about that.
    I wound up trading the Subie, after much study. I wasn't much in the mood to sell it myself. It wasn't a pretty deal to start with, but after going to the boss, it came out just fine. Right on the numbers I wanted. I guess that's a positive for how I feel about Toyota.

    Congratulations on your new Prius. I have the Toyo Proxis A20 tires also and after 15K miles I think I can safely say they are very good tires. I usually keep 48 psi in them.

    I just like the way the V looks,I know what you mean about selling your
    old car.I wasn't up to it myself!!I did a trade, the dealer has to make a few bucks too!!:nod:

    I would (and have) go for the V. The LED headlights with washers, 17" wheels and ATP must come from the factory. Yes, you can put on 17" wheels as an afterthought on the IV, but the V is set up for them given its tighter steering ratio and other slight differences. You can always put an aftermarket sunroof on the V albeit without the solar option for less then $1200. Mine has worked out just great, and looks factory installed.
