Can Malorn explain why we should give up our faith in Toyota using this number of recalls. I can clearly see why I should steer clear of Ford!!

Toyota is the top selling manufacturer in Australia with Holden and Ford close behind.

Holden and Ford have one very clever marketing tool, they own the V8 Supercar sereies and exclude Toyota or any other manufacturer form having a vehicle in the series. Yep, it's a 2 horse race. They know Toyota would do to V8 Supercars what it is currently doing to NASCAR.

VW needs to recall about 200.000 cars in Brasil because of lack of proper lubrication at the rear axis where the wheels are connected, can break the wheels or in extreme cases have the wheel fall off....

A list of all recalls in Germany since 1993 till 2008 per manufacturer - take into account that some manufacturers might have released way more models in those years than others - but for the big ones, it gives a rough idea of what is the situation.

Seems Renault has some serious problems, right? they are still happily selling and nobody is really talking about it.

And nobody is talking about GM that needs to recall 1.3Million vehicles with defective servo-steering wheel motor....

Hi All,

One of my office mates has an older Subaru WRX. He has had the faint smell of gas on startup for years, he says. He also says that this is a common problem reported on-line. The leak is in on the passenger side of the engine compartment, right behind the turbo (!).

Recently, Subaru sent him a recall notice, and he had it into the dealarship for a repair, completely free, on a totally out-of-waranty vehcile.

Allot of the car companies apparently are sneaking all there recalls in under the Toyota flak cover!
