In March, everytime I called a Toyota dealership I was told "We don't have it, and Prius's are sellling before we get them off the transport truck". I called in-state and out of state, I even called multiple states away. I told my wife who easily dismissed the multiple reports with "Ah..that's just a salesman trying to get you anxious to buy, he'll call back" They never did. But she learned another lesson when every Prius we found would disappear in a matter of a few hours. This wasn't going to be an easy search. Finally exasperated, I found a Prius just off the transport, asked if they could match an out of state price, they did and I said "I'm coming down NOW to see it" I went alone and in less than 15 minutes of looking at it (not driving) I bought it. To the OP, I think you got a great deal, consider yourself lucky. Local dealers in Michigan told me they are not going below MSRP, Sorry. Why discount a car when you know they are desirable and easily sell? ZC1
