Is there something wrong with my traction control ?

    Martin37 as for your mention of just waiting in line at the gas pump, you said the brake pedal went to the floor and you almost hit the car ahead of you.....what caused the vehicle to stop in the close distance that you were to that car, an incline in the lane or was it that your brakes did do some good to stop the vehicle???

    That was not clear and I am wondering if your brake lines need to be bled or your brake fluid was low??

    This is a different problem. Take it to a dealer for diagnosis and repair.

    This situation has occured just once as I can recall and may have been at my first fill-up; now over 5k miles. Brakes did stop me, I assume. I would swear that the Prius lurched forward momentarily. As in any gas station the Prius was sitting on level ground.

    If you only had your foot lightly on the brake, did the ICE start up while you were sitting there? Sometimes it can cause a little surge, nothing much as far as my experience with the Prius or a prior RX hybrid, but if you weren't on the brake it could have surprised you.

    I have the exact same experiences. Supposedly there is a fix, but the last two times I went to local Toyota dealer and mentioned this, nothing changed. Is there really some type or upgrade for this and how do you make your dealer fix this?

    There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that shortens the time of the transition between regenerative and friction braking. If the dealer applied the TSB, which is a change in the computers, this should have been noted on the paper work they gave you. If you don't have or can't find that in the paperwork, got back to them and have them provide you that paperwork.

    Likely you won't notice much of a change with the fix applied anyway... it is just the nature of the beast.
