iPod Video hook up to Prius

Hmm, maybe there will now be an iPod Video specific AVIC-100i. Check out the below e-mail I got.

I bought the AIC-100i during the first group buy and borrowed a friends 20G Ipod for a month so I could wait on buying the ipod video.

I recieve my video Ipod last night, but I've been having trouble getting the AIC100i to work. The Ipod powers up, it's recognized, but it only plays about 5 seconds of a song, and then starts up again and repeats (the same 5 seconds).

I can control the unit and switch to the next play list with same behavour. I've also noticed a HISS now as the unit is connected and starts to play.

Also noticed that sometimes when I hook up the video ipod, the screen can go bonkers. (Alternates between Apple Menu, and vias Checkbox)

My has firmware v3.45. Not sure if that's the latest or not.

I've not sent mail yet to Vias because I'm thinking of resetting everything and trying this again.

Has anyone else seen this type of problem with 100i ?

I started another thread on just this subject (this thread is on hooking up video to the Prius). One other person has tried and had problems too.
