That is because it did not go that way.

Cingular was jointly owned by SBC and BellSouth. SBC bought AT&T and changed its name to at&t (lower case letters). Then the new at&t bought BellSouth. Now that it was the sole owner of Cingular, at&t changed Cingular's name to Wireless by at&t for brand consistency.

AH! I had SBC and so didn't want AT&T. I dropped AT&T and went with SBC specifically. It's nice to know that now that I have AT&T again it's really the SBC I had to begin with.

Unfortunately not so much my credit card. I had a credit card through NEA/CTA. It was with Maryland Bank. For 25 years I've had no complaints; Maryland Bank was wonderful to deal with and their customer service was beyond reproach. Then Maryland Bank sold it to Bank of America. I've had nothing put poor service from them so I'm getting rid of the card. My credit union now offers a card and I'm going to use theirs instead. And when Bank of America calls me up and asks why there is never any activity in my account anymore I'll tell them. "Because of lousy service there will be no tip."*

*my Dad used to have this on business cards he would leave at restaurants when the service was particularly bad. He only had to use it once.

In the end that is what really makes a business profitable. It's not your product because there is always another product out there. It's the service. Service is what keeps customers coming back and recommending you to others. That is why it is now my policy not to do business with any company that treats me (or their employees) like sh¡t.

I don't own a phone so I can't say if it's good or not.

you will find out if you buy it now that:
1. it will have significant more memory by the Holiday Season
2. bugs, bugs and more bugs - cant wait to see all the email issues that pop up with this baby
3. new content and functions will be added soon thereafter.

Most of the Nokia N and E series sync right with iTunes and handle video just fine. Of course, they also handle Tivo2Go, and do streaming audio and video via Realplayer. But the iPhone doesn't do those, so I'll forget those exist for the moment.
