Not really the whole car is finicky if it has a bad 12 bolt battery.

Very easy to test a 12 bolt battery. Get a dc voltmeter. With car OFF Measure the 12 volts at the front jump point under the hood in the fuse box. Should be at least 12.3 volts healthy battery is 12.6.

With car still off turn on the headlights in high beam leave them in for 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes turn off the headlights and measure again, if the sitting voltage has dropped at all after this minor load test it’s probably bad and in a g2 Prius if the battery is even suspect it should be replaced.

You want to use a members service here for the combo rebuilt meter. Matt @ Texas Hybrids. $100.

There'a a great youtube for instructions on how to replace it.

It will do the come on and off thing for quite a while then turns into the car won't shut off and you have to disconnect the 12 volt battery to shut it off. PIA. It doesn't like cold so with this cold spell coming this weekend it will be a pain.
