Inverter /converter or transaxle failure?

    Those are nice, no lack of grunt there - I had to put off-road tires on my engine hoist, too little concrete in the driveway 8^)...

    Hi Mendel.
    I would get the right contraption if I was doing transaxle changes on a regular basis, but hopefully I won't have to do another one for a very long time, so no sense of buying that contraption and then storing it. Would not fit in my garage.

    Actually, I just cobbled together another stand for it so I could use it on my prii - pic attached.

    Another good thing to have if you use a hoist is some kind of sturdy nylon strap long enough to wrap around the T/A (or whatever you're lifting) at least twice; turn that into a loop and apply to t/a as needed to lift or hold it in place.
