What is the other similar term for ex-wife? @MichelleStone should know - she is one. While you're at it, you could add SWMBO
Hmm, I thought I have that last one. I'll check. Edit: I guess not. Hmm, given the sensitivity of the acronyms, I'll leave it out for now (might've been the reason why I left it out in the first place lol)
Nope . In her wisdom, she thinks I'm a 'keeper' even after more than forty years! There's no accounting for taste. Might I assume more relaxed and, just possibly, better-off?
I think you're far enough away from our female correspondents to escape their ire, but I wouldn't risk it!
@alanclarkeau or @Tideland Prius ? I do not specifically remember female members in either of their countries, but Canada & the US share a land border...
Is the Gen 4 Lithium battery in the same location as the Ni-Mh, I know on the UK Prius+ they put the Lithium battery under the centre armrest leaving a very small console above it. Maybe you could add both ?
I'm fairly sure I read that both batteries are in the same place under the rear seat, and while lighter, they're much the same size and almost the same capacity. But the electronics, voltage, charging rate etc are all different.
Thinking about it now, they probably put the battery under the armrest in the 7 seat UK Prius+ to accommodate the third row of seats.
I liked it, but it wasn't as economical as the Gen 4 (or the Gen 3) and it didn't have the same poke and I didn't need 7 seven seats. One of the best looking people carriers IMO.
Hmm, interesting. Ours in the USA was called the Prius V; looked like a small minivan, but is not imported any more. I'd have probably gotten one of those; not for people carrying but for cargo. Yeah, I'd have to look at where the charging and electronics is managed from. There's probably a pin or two on the battery connector that tells the charging system whether to use constant voltage, constant current charging (for lithium batteries) or delta V and temperature, for NiMH. If you're handy at all, think of the Ryobi One+ tool line: They're compatible with NiCad batteries, but also Lithium Ion. The chargers know which is which by the presence or absence of certain pins. The battery probably has shut-down circuitry built-in, so it is not over-discharged. the Prius battery will be a lot more sophisticated but probably works along the same line of thought. Side note: I took a 1200 mile trip this weekend, but left the Prius home because it is not efficient enough. Just kidding, it was a motorcycle tour, so I wouldn't have taken the car anyway, but my Honda CBR500R gets 70+ mpg, which only the Prime could touch. It does 0-60 mph in around 4 seconds too. Super-tangent: The Honda SuperCub motorcycle is coming back to the US for its 60th anniversary. it's said that its 125cc air-cooled engine gets 125+ mpg. This market will soon be electric, I think, once the tech. trickles down from cars. 50cc scooters are starting to be replaced already.
Actually, it is likely done through software changes, perhaps triggered by a different part somewhere in the circuitry.
He got into Harley's. He changed a lot. He bought three of them with my money. When I ran out of money, so did he with a younger (we were retired) biker chic. I have one third the income and all the same bills. It wasn't really a good time to buy a car. But it is one I wanted and one he'd never let ME purchase. So, I'm good. I have my new car. I'll get it paid for within the next 18 months. AND it is something that I wanted. We were together 25 years. I cried for weeks when he left. And now I'm glad I live my life on my own making my own decisions and don't get a lecture every day on what I've done wrong. So, yeah. I'm pretty happy. My problem now is that I'm not attracted to anyone my own age.
@MichelleStone -forget the bad times, focus on the now and be happy. I wish you good luck in your quest for another, whatever age group appeals to you. You are the most important one! Remember that.
