Interior electrical noise

But not the buzzing, ratcheting sound from the brake accumulator pump? That noise is intermittent, and sounds like it is coming from the driver's footwell.

NO the noise is like a bad bearing coming from under the engine, you can hear that better when the car is parked in ready mode, other noises can cover a little bit, I tried to work around the car over the weekend to record the noise but was raining bad all the time I will post my finding later.....

my best bet right now is the inverter pump ! and rattles not all the time!

inside the car the noise seems to be coming from the passenger door!!

 

I am having the same buzzing electrical noise. I get it when I'm on the highway going faster than 30-40 mph. It stops when I slow down below those speeds. The noise is a constant sound. I first though something loose was shaking but it was coming from under the hood and sounds like electric sounds statically buzzing.

Please let me know if you know how to fix or if anyone else does.

 

ancientsan, on your original concern, I just posted a comment a couple days back about the same issue. The nav dvd searching constantly, and the noise is definitely louder than any nav system I've ever seen. I can hear it now with the engine running, and it's ever ending. My guess is we have some of those "special" units that are noisier than other. I had the car for a month and never heard this noise, in fact I was giving my neighbors rides around the block and they were very impressed with the quiet EV mode. Now, it's like I'm riding around in a server room. I'm going to have them look at it my first service, as I think something is glitched in the Nav package. Please post to my inquiry as your post has taken off onto a "all noises on a Prius" tangent.
