Things are clearing up now ... thanks for your input guys! I think Misty Gray it is.

Now here is another problem ... I could get one like I want right now (plus remote start that I don't want) from my non-preferred dealer OR I could wait a few months and buy it from the dealer I feel a bit loyal to. They sort of picked from the allocation for me and have one coming in Black (like I thought I wanted) in late June ... they told me it just worked out that way, not that they did it for me but I'm not so sure that's true. When I asked them to prefer one for me they made it sound like it'd be 3 months at least, but it would end up being 1 month from me asking about it if I were to take the black one.

Otherwise, I could have one in about 2 weeks just like I want (except for the added remote start) if I were to go with the other dealer.

I kind of feel bad not going with my normal dealer, but I'd really like a car ASAP! Anyhow ... I'm sure everyone will say ... go with the dealer who has the exact car you want now, but I feel kind of bad leaving the other guy high and dry since these aren't exactly flying off the lot like they anticipated.

Black mats show stuff you can shake out, light mats show stuff that doesn't come out. Thats the difference.

See if your guy can get the one from the other dealer...

Best solution (as many other cars / manufacturers have) - medium shade of gray and tan carpet mats. Have never had issues, wear well, and quite easy to clean. In almost every car I've owned. My current RX with bisque leather - nice shade of medium brown mats and after 105K look almost new without very much effort. I haven't seen the quality of the floor mats but had seen the '10 back cargo mat in bisque - it appeared very cheap.

I've had grey, tan, and black interiors and by far the interior that I find the easiest to keep clean and looking new is black. Tan dark enough to hide stains suffers from the same issue you're talking about with black, any lighter and you have staining.

Funny, I've had the complete 180 experience over the years. Black may not have showed stains (except for White-out...) but the medium shades seemed to be the best of both worlds for me. My black interiors show the dust and light dirt flecks so easily. Esp the top of the dash. And as I mentioned the mats. I do agree they hide stains better.

But I'll still take the medium shade mats, and if Toyota (or the Port) has only black, I'll pass --- well better yet - get the all weather mats. Those look quite OK in the pics. Did any of you lucky owners get them yet?

Always thought that a color like Bisque would go better with a light exterior such as Blizzard but my previous White car had a Navy interior. I think a Misty Gray is a compromise and perhaps keep the interior a little cooler than the standard Charcoal color.

I'm really thinking about getting a Blizzard but the cost somewhat turns me off unless I know thow that the Blizzard would retain its finish better than the other colors.

I've always seen many Whites of the 09 Prius sitting in lots I'm not sure what that means.

Yeah but doesn't black show wear the most? It's shininess is very obvious compared to light grey or beige.

No, in the Netherlands we can get Grey and Misty Grey, the latter is called Aqua over here. The Sandy Beach exterior colour isn't available here either, instead we have a Pure White non metallic colour.

I think the pure White looks great, so I think that is what I am going to go for too ;)

Thanks. So your Dark Gray and Misty Gray interior is the same as U.S. versions? And Bisque is not available?

    Other countries?

Yes, it may look great in the showroom. But try to imagine Pure White with some dirt on it, and your car will get dirty I'm afraid.

We got Blizzard Pearl with the Bisque interior (leather) but I have a complaint.

The carpet in the cargo area and cargo cover are misty grey. Even the carpet on the back of the seats. It is VERY obvious when the rear seats are flipped down.

I looked at another car at the dealer with bisque interior and it had misty grey in the cargo also. I'm calling Toyota today to see what is up with this.

Anyone else with bisque in the 2010 have the same issue?

So it seems. I choose the Misty Grey interior. I know a dark grey interior from the previous Prius. It is so dull that you almost fall into a coma when you sit in the car. It's the same problem with the leather chairs. Look at leather seats in a European car, and it shows luxury. This is expensive leather! On this car it almost looks like plastic. I'm sure the quality is fine, but the Japanese don't seem to understand how to make it look luxurious.

Agree on the Dark Gray. Saw a Blizzard/Dark Gray III at my dealer Friday. The Gray appeared industrial and bland with little accent to the instrument panel / console. And the texture was very blahhhhh. If it wasn't for the mini perforations it would have been a complete turnoff. Too bad because I feel Toyota did a great job designing the instrument panel and console area. And the embossed plastics material around the dash are quite nice.
If the color, texture, and design of the fabric and leather were snazzier - it could have been a complete winner. Wonder if this was intentional on Toyota's part to be "minimalistic"? I haven't seen the Prius V leather in person yet, but the pics get my expectations low.

Yep, Australia will be the same as Europe......a non-metallic White in lieu of Sandy Beach, and medium and light Grey (aqua) interiors....no Bisque.

However, all of our exterior paint colours can be teamed with either of the 2 Grey interiors (except Wildfire....your Barcelona Red). It can only come with medium Grey interior.

We also miss out on the 17" wheels.....both our models will come with 15" only when they finally go on sale mid-July.

Thanks again for all the help guys! I should have a Pkg V in Blizzard Pearl w/Misty Gray, Nav, floor mats, rear applique, and remote start in 2-3 weeks ... deposit is down.

With all this talk of "pure white" ... can we confirm that the White used in all the Japanese info and pics is the same as our Blizzard Pearl? I formed a lot of my opinion on the videos and pics from Japan shows.

I don't know for sure, but to me the Japanese cars look like "Pure White" to me. We are also getting "Pearl White" in the UK which I would say is the same as your "Blizzard Pearl" Why are there different names for the same colours?

Until I see them both in the flesh I can't say 100% which one I will go for, but so far I really like the crispness/sharpness off the Pure White :)

Yes, it may be a beautiful colour, but also rather impractical. Just a little bit of dirt on the car, and the whole car looks smudgy. That is the problem with such an 'extreme' colour.

I can give you the Dutch colour names, and the colour numbers. I suppose the numbers are universal all over the world.

    Pure White - 040
    Pearl White - 070
    Ultra Silver - 1F7
    Astral Black - 202
    Barcelona Red - 3R3
    Royal Blue - 8T5
    Abyss Grey - 8V1
