Interested in joining or starting a local Prius Club?

I'd love to see an Austin / Hill Country / Central Texas group. I'm not sure I have the time to take a sole leadership role in this regard, but I'll do what I can to help.

 

I sure would like to see a Northeast Ohio/Northwest Pennsylvania Club get started, but I don't see many Prii in our area. Maybe someone else will post and this can take off.

 

Danny, how about regional forums? Some place to post questions like. Where's a good car wash in Los Angeles? (this is really important to me since I haven't washed my car since I got it May 1st and it's getting really dirty).

There is a car wash thread and someone turned me on to the Studio City car wash. They will wash your Prius for FREE for the rest of the year! You can't beat it and they do a great job (make sure to tip them well!).

How about the SF Bay area?

Since it's such a big area, I wonder if it should be split into North Bay, East Bay, South Bay, and Peninsula? Or is that too much?

 

danny - i would moderate a long island forum if you want to open one up...

on the other hand, the only way i would have time to work on a club would be if there were interest in a club that also does some altruistic stuff (charity/community service)

i already am an un-active member of the avanti owners assoc. but a VERY active member of Rotary International, a service organization.

 

I would be willing to help with the SF Bay Area. I can represent the South Bay contingent if we need to break it down that far.

 

Sounds like VintageBob has volunteered (phew, thanks!) so that's cool. I can be his backup/deputy, and I can do east bay or north bay if we break into smaller groups. Copacetic?

 

Nice idea, Aaron! I can picture this -- either some enviromental or car related charity would stick to the theme. And once you choose "car related" charity, you've tied in almost everything ... hard to get stuff done without a car, any stuff! Not that it would even have to be related, but I'm enjoying the idea of a little Prius fleet delivering meals to the sick and homebound, etc, etc.

 

exactly. for one thing, it gives you a reason to get together! my brother in law is in a motorcycle group and they do all kinds of cool things.

Bay area forum.. yeah.. i've been waiting for this... too bad i fell behind on post or else i would have seen this earlier. Just too many sites to cover.. too much info.. soo little time. if you guys need some help with the bay area.. i am always around.

 

I'd like to see some New England clubs started, but i don't have the time to be a moderator. for those of you think of starting one I'm in the Providence/Worchester/Boston area
