Hi Ryan, The surface of the Car Cubby is very lightly textured - much like the black plastic surface of your glove compartment door.

    Hey Ryan,

The Car Cubby is very lightly textured, similar to the door of your glove compartment.

Yeah, I'll have to take a photo of that. Today, it kept my purse and my Nook safe, along with the box of Kleenex!

Just ordered two more - one for Donkey Hotey and one for the neighbor (a Prius owner) who looked after it while it was parked for 6 months.

Yup, it makes a great gift. Especially on Mother's day.

Wow...Thanks for drawing to my attention via your pictures that there is a front hidden drawer in my car. Surprise!

Thanks for the review, I might look into this!

I just noticed, they have referral program. I updated the first post (at the bottom) to take advantage of it. :D

Don't forget, PriusChat store also offer the original tray.

I received two new Car Cubbys in the mail yesterday. One (more) for us and another for our neighbor. Just as nice as can be and the seller even refunded shipping on the second one (not to mention the 10% discount to PC members). Great guy selling a great product.

No issues whatsoever (except when I originally put it in backwards and it was a tight fit). Fits like a glove with no rattling or loosness at all. The wife was really missing the convenience of the Cubby before we got one for Donkey Hotey. Now, life is good again.

There are two other Prius owners in our neighborhood who, once they see our Cubbys, will probably want them as well. I already supply the entire neighborhood with ICE and cabin air filters (I get them for half price from a Toyota dealer on eBay) so Cubbys are just a natural extension of the M8s supply chain.

I showed the Cubby to another Gen 2 owner in our neighborhood today. He asked me to order one for him (which I just did).

In the course of the conversation, I mentioned that we're thinking of getting a Prius "v" once they come out. As he's giving his 2007 to his granddaughter when she graduates from high school next year, he asked if I'd sell him one of our Priuses. Sounds like a plan. Looks like the Car Cubby produces good karma in addition to being super convenient.

    Old thread revival alert!

I just received the Car Cubby as a Christmas gift and so far it's great! I plan to buy some non-skid drawer material that I use to organize my garage tools in the work bench to create a non-skid surface. Well worth the $20, even better when received as a gift!
