Imobilizer icon blinking after 5k service

It only flashes when the car is OFF. Statistics show that chances are, your not inside the car looking at the dash when its off, instead, your most likely focused on pushing the power button or closing the door, or yelling at your kids.

 

If you see this icon flash an amber color while you are driving the car, this means that the Smart Key system no longer can recognize the Smart Key fob. Either the fob's battery is dead, or the fob is no longer in the car. The latter can happen if a passenger is holding the fob (not the driver) and leaves the car.

Therefore, after you power the car IG-OFF, the car will stay off and not come back on until you find the fob (if the fob battery is dead, you must either plug the fob into the dashboard slot as a temporary measure, or replace the battery.)
