I called Holman Toyota in NJ where I leased my current 2014 Prius 4 and asked about what info they had so far. They said it's basically a redesigned Prius I asked whether the U.S.A version will be getting the E-4 wheel drive they said no it's going to be a front wheel drive just like the previous generations. So basically Toyota lied when they said that a all wheel drive version will be available for generation 4

    Why has Toyota lied?
Just because E-Four won't be available in the US doesn't mean it won't be available in other parts of the world .
Unfortunately it won't be available in Germany too !
As long as it finally has a button to defeat traction control I am ok with it .
Our dealerships don't even have a sun/moon roof on their list up to now,and that would be really annoying !
At least people who allready pre-ordered didn't get the option .

Maybe he hasn't driven it yet !?
I am sure Toyota would at least allow him to say how the driving impressions were without saying anything specific.

As someone else asked, brand/series of tires but also sizes for different trim levels. Also, what bolt pattern/width/offset of wheels for those trim levels. Can the white wheel garnish be removed or no?

    Thanks, Danny.

there will be 15" and 17" wheels. Top of the line 17" wheels have plastic wheel garnish that can be replaced with another part of different color, so it can be painted as well.

Well, finally, this video is definitive about the wheel and wheel insert. A very beautiful and well done video, it clearly shows at 0.55 - 0.59 and again at 4.30 - 4.33, the 17" wheel in closeup and slow motion with the black star-shaped insert removed and the white wheel rotating showing the brake components visible behind. So again, the white part is the wheel and the black part is the removable insert. That's kind of a bummer for me, but it is still very beautiful!

Doubleclick and hi-light the entire link below, then right click and select "Go to", etc. It is very beautiful.

Bill, we've already posted pictures for you of the 17" wheels WITH the colored inserts shown as an option. Secondly, those aren't 17" wheels in the video. These are the 17 inch wheels. The white/silver parts are the inserts that can be removed. This has been explained a hundred times since the first showing in Vegas.

Do the back seats lie flat with the back? The generation 3 seats do, but I've noticed that the Prius V back seats are concave shaped on the back, which makes it no good for sleeping.

No the ones with spare tire do (higher floor - less luggage space - flat surface), both types of battery take same space under the rear seat.

Unbelievably really when you think they sat there discussing what we would rather want,a flat floor or more cargo space and nobody came up with the idea of a flexible cargo floor !?
Beats me,would have been the first thing entering my mind !

Many hatchbacks do this, but they are mostly smaller cars than the Prius. The larger surface area means a Prius false floor would need to be stronger and thus heavier. To truly be flexible, it should have a place to store the panel(s) if they need to be removed. The Sonic doesn't, and its floor panel is less than half the size of what the Prius would need. It would also increases cost.
