I was able to get 28 plus on my first EV only test. Here's the data captures that show it
It was mixed driving with speeds up to 60 mph and two traffic entries. The first half was
relatively flat with the 2nd half on 100% hills on twisty backroads.

Yep! The max is bigger and heavier with a bigger engine and more horse power. It's bound to
get lower MPG numbers during ICE use, but the trade off is better numbers though the battery pack. Untitled-1.jpg

No problem, just game the test. It is a Ford, after all.

Why fake it ? You hater guys crack me up. If it's not a Prius it's not gonna get good mileage
Bash it and poke fun at it, because it's competition and we'll take every little tidbit and make
sure it looks bad by blowing it so far out of proportion know-body could make sense of it (n)

It's easy to make any car look bad and the Prius is no exception. The C was hammered by CR
pretty badly. The Prius gets low scores for power and handling. The V is called a bowling ball with
wheels. Just because journalist and other so called review experts like or dislike something, it makes
headlines. Yeah, Ford used the Fusion number on the Hybrid version of the C-Max, but the EPA
let them :ROFLMAO: It was based on the similar drivetrains between them. The numbers for the Energi
were not the same and they have not had to change them. It has a 43 combined MPG with a 100 MPGe.

Ford's problem now is trust. They screwed themselves by acting unethically.
Are the telematics accurate ? Who knows -- it is a Ford
Is the EPA accurate ? Who knows -- it is a Ford
Will the battery last ? Who knows -- it is a Ford
Is the car reliable ? Who knows -- it is a Ford

Will Ford screw it's customers in the future ? We know the answer to that question.

Like most Ford cars that gets poor quality marks, the main problem is voice recognition -- that thing J.D. Power seems to hate. That has no importance to me when comparing it to, gee I don't know, the powertrain. Tell me what car has a perfect voice recognition system. Even BMW's is faulty sometimes. If you're going to pick a Prius V over a C-Max, I hope you're not doing it to get superior voice recognition.

Is the EPA accurate ? Who knows -- it is a Ford Whats Ford have to do with the EPA's data ?
Will the battery last ? Who knows -- it is a Ford Whats Ford have to do with Panasonic's battery life ?
YES! Panasonic makes the best lithium batteries on the planet. Maybe that's why Ford uses them :D
I'm 100% sure they will outlast your NiMH batteries
Is the car reliable ? Who knows -- it is a Ford The Ford 2.0L has been proven over and over for years and years, to be a reliable power plant. The transmission in the Ford is a better design than the Asian trans
your Prius has. It the reason we can EV to 85 mph and it's regen seems to be a higher rate as well.

It's made in house by Ford in Warren Mi. at the trans plant on VanDyke Ave.

They have other good videos too. but I'll let you do the search for them. That should
give you something to do, besides hate on an emerging US product.

Ford isn't an angel brand like Toyota or Honda, but my parents have both owned a few Ford trucks that made it past 100K with minimal problems. Cars don't die -- people kill them.

I actually don't know a f150 or a tacoma truck owner that is disastfied. One friend has 300,000 miles on the f150 he bought used with 100,000 miles on it.

I did meet a woman at toyota service, that had switched from a f150 to a tundra becasue she thought it would be cheaper to maintain. She was royally pissed at toyota service. Tons of money and only 75K miles on her truck. I don't know if she is the exception or the rule, but she sounded ready to switch back to ford. In the US ford is number one with customer loyalty.

True. But the motor in my truck, the 6.0 liter diesel is notorious and embroiled in lawsuits regarding Ford's failures.

Ford is no angel for sure.

So you're saying you abuse your truck ? How can you compare an abused truck to a hybrid.

Oh, I get. It's a Ford, right ????? What joke. Nothing like lambasting Ford for all your
    vehicle problems.

HAHAHAHAHA! Ford contracted International Harvester to build the diesel engine for
them. It's been a well know fact that IH has built crap and Ford has sued them over it.
Ford has now started making their own engine. Sorry you bought a truck without knowing
it's engine was a turd from the get go. I know a few people that have over 100K on the 6.0L
without any problems, but they take excellent care of them, so I'll just leave it at that.

No towing. Oil changes every 5k. No hot rodding.

    Every troll needs a c-max.

No, I think they need to talk about their truck on a Prius board :ROFLMAO:

You should certainly not be calling other members, Trolls or any other names because they don't agree with you.
Grow up and quit acting like a child. As far as your truck is concerned, who cares about that P.O.S.
You bought it, so go cry somewhere else. I could care less about it or your ignorance.

Well, sometimes there are problems with cars. Unintended acceleration comes to mind....

I think what happened in the C Max case is that Ford was rushing to get the product out and bring in sales, they did not take the time to have it EPA tested. I remember seeing the C Max at car shows, before it came out, and was very interested.

There are currently 12 cars in my care, 2 Cadillacs, 4 Mercedes, 1 Lexus, 1 BMW, 2 Toyotas, 1 Smart, and for the first time ever there is 1 Ford. It's funny but I sent in a recommendation for a car that would have more power, yet better range than a Prius, and Ford has seemed to attempt at an answer. Listening to customers is a great way to earn business. If this car had come out 1 yr. before, that Prius v in my signature might have been Ford number 2....
