ICE comes on anyway

It does. I use cruise all the time and I've NEVER had this happen.

 

This is unnecessary.

I had it out in the snow and wind in sub-freezing weather for 9 hours. It's going to get MUCH, MUCH colder in that 9 hours than in 14 hours in 40 degree temperatures. And right after that I accelerated to 55 and climbed a 5%-6% grade all in Ev.

 

I doubt the boat will float that long with all that snow!!

Damn that ICE, anyway, harumph, harumph!! Hey I'm going to try to use the ChargePoint charger(s) at a (Lord have mercy!) VW dealer, on the way to my daughter's in Riverside; talk about OBSESSIVE! That way I'll try to stay on electric for the 77 mile round trip!! Anything to stay on top, and keep my oranges, sheep, and rainbows on the Eco Panel!

We're due for up to 80 mph winds tomorrow, with about 80° temperatures and EXTREME fire danger risk!! And we live in the same country as you!! Who says the weather is unstable!! No climate change here, Har, har!

Wednesday night the low is expected to be 24°F with it below freezing for 17 hours from 5pm to 10am. If I leave it outside from 8am Wednesday to 10am Thursday, and then drive it, will that be a sufficient test?

 

Probably, but you'll have to watch out that your butt doesn't freeze to the seat when you finally drive that poor miserable car!!

No, no my unscientific friend, you'll just end up going 160 miles per hour on EV mode, of course!! Vector logic, 80mph from wind added to 80mph from EV= 160mph!! Think of the range improvement, and of course NO ICE!! Har, har!

You goofy Southern Californians make it sound like freezing is cold. Twice in my life I've been in a location where it was -41°F (which is 73°F colder than freezing temperature). Once was on the ski lift to the top of Steamboat mountain and the other was in Fraser, Colorado.

That's cold!

Heck, I've bar-b-que'd outside when it was -10°F and snowing.

 

I don't think it's as cold as my ex-girlfriend's heart!!
