I thought I was going to break my miles per tank record.

You noticed, charger at both ends? There may have been a engine warm-up sequence caused by the programming. That’s very minor and short lived, 2 min. maybe.

Is the Prime warmup sequence shorter than the PiP? I can't get mine to go under about 5 minutes. Maybe 4 if it's really warm out.

???? It’s possible, temp difference between Ca and Nebraska. I do several things to dissuade the ICE.
Accelerate slowly, drive in Eco/ev, Keep, Ac off. Condition car before drive off. I haven’t done it long enough to notice engine on as usually I’m looking at driving range left.

pip can charge a couple miles during warm up, and assist motivation.

i must say, this engine warm up due to software programming is a concern.

Sounds like @Andyprius1 is talking about EV Auto mode and not the stricter EV mode in the Prime

gotcha, you charged it, drove in ev, at some point the engine ran, you parked it, charged it, wash, rinse, rear.
    thusly, 119mpg whatever.
