My dealership was mostly good but the salesgirl screwed up on selecting a car already in the build state with a dark grey instead of the bisque interior I asked for. Also, instead of the dealer installed rubber bumper protector I asked for, the car instead had the factory decal on the bumper. That, they might rectify but now I must live with somber dark seats I didn't want. I needed a car fast, which contributed to this problem but I'll make it clear to the dealer that next time, I'll walk away from a purchase if the car delivered isn't exactly as I specified at signing.

Are there any other settings like that the dealer can change? If certain settings that I want to respond differently can be changed, I would love to know which ones can be.

Owners Manual - Sect 6.2 Customization.

I highlighted all the changes I wanted and brought them to the dealer who made them all at no cost.

That the vanity mirror lights do not go out when car is turned off.
Last night about 1:30 am I looked out at my Prius and it was a glowing,
worried about the 12 volt battery I ran out to find the Wife side visor half down with mirror open and light on.

I really wish the dealership told me that I couldn't get a free oil change at 5K miles ahead of time. 10,000 miles is a long time to wait.

No but I put racing stripes on mine. Modeled after the late 60's/early 70's Camaro stripes.
Makes it easy to find in a parking lot.

Not to throw out the little (tiny in my opinion) metal piece that comes with the keys and tell you to safe it!!! . . It's the key number plate (looks like nothing) and you'll need it if you want new keys made by someone other than Toyota.

    So hopefully I won't need it in the future . . . .

Your Prius key is electronic. That tab with the key# on it is only for the little bitty laser cut key that's stuck inside your smart entry box. It is made by Toyota, and can't be cut by an outside source. It's only an emergency key to unlock the driver's door.

it's all in the owners manual. if you want the dealer to tell you everything that's in the owners manual, you're gonna be there forever. i just want my car and let me leave, i hate sitting in the car with someone who knows less about it than i do. "when the little arrows are going from the battery to the wheels, that means you're driving on battery power" zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

My wife loved the talk. I was ready to strangle the guy. I knew it was going to a waste of time when the salesman told us the B on the shifter stood for battery.

My Salesperson knew nothing at all about the car. Told me to get in the car i had to take the little key out and to start it i had to put it in the slot on the dash.--LOL thanks to this site i am now key free and the system is working fine. I am glad i found you guys i know i will be learning a lot here

My wife was leery of all the technology so she felt good hearing it from him. I will correct come of what he said over time. Like the solar option let the A/C work all the time! (and yes he meant the A/C, condenser and all.) I decided to stop correcting him at that point.
