And it would seem that includes YOU.
I did a search for "How long can gas be stored" and came up with a LOT of hits.
    This seems to summarize them:
    [begin quote]
    three to six months

Though it naturally degrades and loses combustibility over time due to oxidation (exposure to oxygen) and evaporation of its volatile compounds, gasoline usually lasts three to six months when properly stored in a labeled, tightly sealed plastic container or metal tank of the capacity recommended by your fire ...

How Long Does Gasoline Last? Solved! | Bob Vila
    www.bobvila.com › articles › how-long-does-gasoline-last

    [end quote]

SO......anybody else who really cares about this can do their own search and reach their own conclusions.
    YOU.....can STUFF IT. :p

Done, many many times over, across many topics in this forum.
Back at post #16 you asked:
"Are you a chemical engineer who is actually qualified to give an expert assessment of the question at hand ? (Doubt it)."

Is Bob Villa a chemical engineer? Nope. OK then, is he a recognized automotive expert? Nope, not even that. He is a "home improvement TV show host". So by your very own standard (i.e. what you demanded of me), he does not qualify as an expert on this topic.

Next, does his article point to any experiments or tests or sources or reference materials that discuss this topic? NOPE! His few included links address other points, not this topic.

So at this point, your Bob Vila reference does not rise above conventional wisdom or old wives tales or urban legend. It doesn't even count as hearsay, as it doesn't quote anybody on this topic.

So we still lack resolution on the answer. But we do know that Toyota hasn't suggested any action on this at less than a year, and doesn't seem to have issued any subsequent guidance to the contrary.
Do the mods approve of this?

Apparently you don't understand the meaning of an "example" either.

    Do some actual research.
Can the defensive ranting and give all of us a break.

At the risk of that happening.............

I am NOT the one creating a senseless argument.
I am NOT the one throwing around nasty insults.
I simply stated a personal opinion and caught a big ration of crap.

And you are throwing rocks at me too.
What about those who ARE disrupting the forum with unwarranted accusations and insults ??
Is there an elite group here that can get away with anything without any retribution ??
    It certainly seems so.

Oh and just as a refresher: My multiple user names in the past was caused by data base corruptions when the system was in trouble.
