Those county expressways at one time were excluded from the (defunct) yellow stickers, but the law was changed to include them. It was determined that the limitation to federal and state highways to the exclusion of county expressways was not intended. I am pretty sure the white/green stickers are honored on those expressways, but I cannot quote the applicable traffic code.

 

That makes sense only if you actually worked that hour you saved in traffic. If you slept in an extra hour, or spent more evening time with the family, you can't count it that way.

 

Actually, most analysis points to a higher value for "personal time" than "work time".

There are numerous studies that show if you sleep an hour longer your risk of heart attacks and other health issues decrease and thus you save money on health care costs and increase your quality of life.

Yes, as someone else pointed out, those expressways are included. But 101 and I-280 and many other freeways all around the Bay Area have carpool lanes that are free to use with the stickers.

Get on the HOA Board or befriend a HOA Board memeber and convince them to make it EV Friendly.
