Well No call back in 3 hours after the lady said she was going to call back in an hour.I called the number and it went to a cell phone voice mail.So now i am obviously being blown off.Not sure where to start with the legal process.Probably need to hire an attorney at this point because they have no intent on standing by the warranty.

Ok, I wanted to add some new info on this company. My hybrid warning light came on on a Friday. I took it straight to the dealership in town and they gave me a quote of $3600. I went home and found High Voltage Solutionz on eBay with their weird pricing... Then I called them... The pricing actually goes like this: it's one price for everything - battery, delivery, core removal, and installation. The price you pay is based on the warranty you get, and, according to them, the longer warranty actually equals a better battery. It ranges from $800 for a 6 month warranty (for used car lots) up to $1600 for 36 months.

How does the warranty work, you ask? If your new battery fails within the warranty, they come put a new one in for $250 and you retain the original warranty.

I chose the 36-month battery, and they told me a tech would call and deliver within 2-3 days. The tech actually called in a few hours, told me that he had me scheduled for first thing the next morning (a Saturday!). Long story short, he shows up Saturday morning, out with the old and in with the new, and the Prius is back on the road in less than 24 hours! Also, I didn't pay a penny until after the installation.

I'll report back if anything else happens.

    1) There is NOTHING NEW about a rebuilt/refurbished HV Battery.
    2) $1600 for a battery composed of USED modules, of unknown quality/load capability.
    3) A single warranty claim brings you closer to the cost of a NEW HV Battery. $1600 + $250 = $1850
    4) A second warranty claim will produce buyers remorse: $1850 +$250 = $2100. Will this company still exist? Will they honor the warranty? Sure, you could use, but if they are going bankrupt, throwing good money after bad; time to cut your loss.
    5) A NEW HV Battery can be purchased for $2100-$2400 from Toyota dealers who sell online. Just a matter of finding one near you, and who will indeed sell to you, as other members have reported problems of buying one.
    6) You wouldn't buy a used battery for your smartphone that you plan to keep? Granted the cost difference is a factor of 20 (assuming a $100 smart phone battery).

Alas, the poor decision cycle continues?

I must be in the minority view, in wanting to buy a NEW HV Battery. For me, a $2k purchase only makes sense if:
    1) I am able to DIY the required repairs the car will need.
    2) The current Prius is in overall fair condition, but very sound mechanically, except for the current issue.
    3) Mileage under 200,000miles; Mileage in excess of 200,000, I will probably rebuild using a late model Gen3 HV Pack.
    4) The cost of maintenance/repairs is still cheaper than a new car payment and full coverage insurance.
    5) I could look for a low mileage Gen2 and swaps HV Packs.
    6) Yes, at some point in the future, the towel will have to be thrown in, and say Good-bye to the current Prius.

Yup. Could be the employees/friends/relatives, touting how great this company is. An actual invoice noting price, terms/conditions, should be readily available and easily uploaded (minus name, address, phone, email, VIN, etc, due to privacy concerns).

I am planning on using them as my battery has gone bad on my 2006 Prius. Is your battery that you had installed in 2013 still working? Thanks

Avoid this company at all cost.I have never been so disgusted.we are on the second battery by them that did not even last 3000 miles.now we getting the runaround and no calls back.
Spent 2000 dollars on the battery and they will not call back.the car is useless as it will not drive now...I would not recommend anyone make the mistake of using this company

I just wish I had done more research before using them.I could have paid an extra 1000 and got brand new from dealer.would have been worth it.this company owner should be in jail.

We hear this all the time with rebuilders.......part of the reason regulars on here don't recommend them. Dorman seems to be the only worth while rebuilder as they have national parts stores carry their products and you can return to them with warranty issues. All others.....forget about it

This company replaced my 07 Prius battery and I was very pleased. I am about to order a battery for my 09 before it dies. I'm at 149000 miles. I love these guys. I was very skeptical at first as well.

Order a battery before it dies? Why would you want to trade in a working battery for a repaired failed battery? Are you affiliated with the company?

I find it odd that those reporting a favorable experience, with the Company, joined the when they posted but have limited other posts.

This is a review I wrote for BBB. I've had extensive dealings with this company. I hope my experience will dissuade anyone else from using them.

This is THE WORST COMPANY I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I would not recommend them to anyone for any reason.

I initially purchased a battery from them in 2014 along with their lifetime warranty, which covers their product for as long as you own the vehicle. By 2016 the battery had died and I had to file a warranty claim and was informed there was a $500 service fee to get the battery installed. I paid the fee, and had the battery installed, after waiting about two weeks for service. That battery lasted 1 year. In April of 2017 I contacted them and was told the same thing. I voiced my displeasure at the battery only lasting one year, and they agreed to cut the fee in half, and I agreed and paid $250 dollars. The manager informed me that he would send one of his best technicians so he could look over the car and make sure there wasn't anything wrong with it. Again, it took several weeks to schedule an appointment and have the battery serviced. When the 'best technician' arrived he found nothing wrong with the car and replaced the battery. That battery lasted less than two weeks, and I called again. This time they came out more quickly and got the battery replaced.

Now, in December 2017, the battery failed again, this time after only about 7 months. I called them and told them I wanted to file a warranty claim and had no intention of paying the $500 service fee because their products were beyond awful. They agreed and scheduled a technician, but didn't let me know when he would come. I didn't receive any contact from the company for over two weeks. I called and called and called and left voice messages and emails and never got responses. After ~1 month and conservatively 50 attempts to contact them I was contacted by the technician and we scheduled an appointment for several days later.

On the day of our appointment I texted and called him several times to try to figure out when he would be by and he didn't respond. Finally he said another appointment had held him up and he asked to do it the next day. I said that would be fine. That following day, the day of our appointment, I texted and called him at semi-regular intervals trying to figure out when he would arrive so I could see if I'd need to leave work early. He never responded, and eventually I gave up on that day. The next day I tried again and he never responded. I called the main office and to my surprise finally got someone on the line.

She attempted to contact him but had the same results I'd had. She looked up his location and found he was in a town only 40 minutes from mine. Towards the end of the business day I contacted the main office again and she told me it appeared he had another appointment in the area.

Later that evening, after I'd already gone to bed for the night, he texted me and told me he would be at my house at 1:30AM. I didn't hear the text and kept sleeping. At 2AM he texted me and informed me that he was outside, and would be resting in his van and to wake him whenever I wanted to get the battery replaced. He slept in my driveway, in the country, in his van, until I woke him at 5:20AM the next morning. I think it goes without saying that trespassing on a customer's property is beyond inappropriate, but I just wanted my battery fixed so I chose not to say anything.

He read the codes in the Prius, and informed me they were the correct codes and that he would replace the battery, I just had to pay the $500 first. I told him that I had an agreement with his company and that the fee had been waived. He said he couldn't put the battery in without their authorization, and took his van to the grocery store, where he waited for their office to open.

I contacted the office as soon as they had opened and spent 4 hours either on the phone, writing or waiting for emails, or waiting for confirmation that they would uphold their agreement. They offered me a replacement for $250, which I declined as it goes against our previous understanding. I was only able to speak to the administrator despite several requests to speak to a manager. The manager was in the office but wouldn't speak with me and only relayed information through the administrator.

If, despite all of this, you still choose to work with High Voltage Solutionz, good luck. You'll need that and then some to get any semblance of a good battery or good service from this company.

Wow. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

Thank you for this honest report. I'm sure it raised your blood pressure just typing out the words.

This story is a warning for folks in general, not just about this particular company.

Any company that has a warranty, or price, that sounds too good to be true, probably is.
