On the fan inlet, with a rubber band. Not on the operator LOL! I use knee-high nylons over the air filter in my Shopvac saves filters, cheap, doesn't restrict airflow.
Cleaned my fan today. So glad I did! The fan was disgusting coverd in thick white dust and some hair. Previous owner must have had a pet ride with them a few times. The dust looked like dust from a gravel drive way if I had to guess. Super glad it's clean now! After driving it 30 miles I got the triangle of death *gasp of horror* turns out the connection to the power for the fan was corroded and one of the 4 prongs was broken. Had to re wire it. All good now! Happy AaronForgot to add, 238xxx miles
