20 = day of month
Z = month (December)
W = year (2019)

If a W was on a module, it would signify 2 years later (2021) for the manufacture date.

So it looks like your car has an OEM replacement with a manufacture date of 12/20/2019

If you were to peak at a module, the letter code should show a manufacture date within about 2 months of the exterior date. The letter code should be a U for 2019.

This module has a manufacture date of 25 Jan 2023, so pretty new.

A quick question for anyone who knows, I just noticed J at pos 3 and H at pos 5. Is pos 3 the manufacturer code and pos 5 the model code?


Note also, that there is a newer again serial number format for which I have not seen any decoding information, so if anyone has worked that out, it would be good to add to this post.

Hopefully not anywhere close to 2007

 

The Toyota label has 240118 printed on it. That may be 24 Jan 2018 if in DDMMYY format. It could equally be 18 Jan 2024 if in YYMMDD format. Neither date is close to 2007.
