It would be interesting to see just how far down SOC goes in HV mode.
I'm not sure I want to even go there though.

  4. Got mine down to 9% on a road test. After that, the computer system forces the engine on and starts recharging the battery.

Mine did similar once but yesterday I got down to 0.7 mi or 2.5% and the ICE did not start. Not sure why it let me get so low this time and not before.

If you want to keep the car for 35 years, the battery is only a small part of the concerns you should have. The rubber seals and hoses in the engine will start to degrade after 8-10 years. After 20, you'll probably have to pull the engine out and replace many of them, and they may become hard to come by. Ask anyone who currently has a British classic like an MG or Austin-Healey (and most of them will have some aftermarket support). We have a car old enough to drink, and it's not easy getting some parts these days.

In 35 years with my driving/charging habits my engine will have less than 100 hours on it so I wonder if your concerns are really valid? Of course in my case in 35 years I’ll be long gone. :(

Just thermocycling from the changing of the seasons and being parked in the sun is sufficient. That's one of the reasons so many people store collector cars in climate controlled storage.

Yea. My climate controlled garage should do it.

Yeah but you're also in Chicagoland and the salt, potholes, and uninsured drivers will eat your car alive well before the seals are a concern.

These are for the 12V battery. Limiting sort rides ensures the battery gets re-charged after starting the car (not applicable to a Pirme), etc.

Thanks for the data. I still don't want to do drain the pack down that far, but it's good to know where the limit is.
I remember in the 14 PIP when it got down that far the Battery Charge graphic color changed to purple.
