How much is 1 gal of gas in your area.

I'm 15 min away from the Canada/US border, and I've started heading south of the border for my fill-ups. Stations near the border tend to have higher pricing. If I drive in about 20 miles, there's an Arco that sells for a noticeably lower price than other stations. The catch: they only take cash/debit/check. I like the convenience of swiping a card, but it's worth it.

When I went down a couple nights ago, I balked at the border prices as they climbed over to $4.04/gal. The cash-only Arco was $3.75/gal. That's less than a $1/L, if you get a good exchange rate!

The corner Arco is now $4.05.

I was in San Jose on Saturday and paid $4.13 to gas up the Kia Rondo I rented. There was no gas we saw at any station less than $4.07.

 

The highest I have seen today is $4.15 at Chevron in Aliso Viejo, CA. Most are $4.07 in Orange County.

$4.159 in Saranac Lake NY - was $4.099 last week before the holiday. I'm betting we see $4.69 by July 4th!

 

Currently, the average in Raleigh, NC is around $3.95.

Today, I was sitting at an intersection and looked over at a Sheetz gas station that had regular 87 unleaded for $3.83. As I was thinking "That's a little lower than average," the numbers start rotating. To my dismay, WHILE I AM WATCHING, the price jumps 26 cents to settle at $4.09 per gallon.

 

A couple stations in town is showing $3.99. Up again from $3.94.

Stations here are listing prices of $3.80 or $3.90. Most of them are now at $3.90 but there are a few still at the lower price. That's for regular (85 octane here).

$4.05 for gas, $5.00 for diesel.

 

I just filled up yesterday, $4.07 @ Arco. I usually go to Costco, where it was also $4.07 but the line was way too long.

 

I paid $4.07 this morning at Mobile in Camarillo, CA (50.3mpg!)
