How much gas is left?

At DTE 0 you have 1 gallon left. I reset a trip odometer when DTE reaches 0. I know that when that trip odometer and its fuel economy are the same number, I will shortly only be able to run on electricity.
I push this limit to get me to the next Costco for fuel. About 4 times so far. Electric range guess-o-meter will accurately let you know when you approach 0. I was down to 3 miles of electric range left, with no fuel, when I reached the top of a mountain pass. 12 miles later, when I arrived at a Costco, I had 10 miles of electric range left. Knowing where the edge is, allows for more options.

 

I hope that you have alternate plans when the next Costco ... or the next fuel service of any kind ... is more than 1 gallon away.

 

That "gallon left" is not digital: one hard corner or steep hill...
