    One more data point:

    48F outside temp
1.8 miles total (ICE started about 0.3 miles from home)
58 MPG when the ICE shut off

    117.406 ml of gas consumed

That's what I did with the 2 miles trip, except I didn't deplete the EV miles. ICE shut down before the end of that trip.

you made me look it up :D

Actually, my gas consumption this morning equates to about 20 American Robin (Turdus migratorius) eggs.. that sounds like a lot..

So I'd rather to say my gas consumption this morning was equal to about 2 Common Puffin (Fractercula arctica) eggs or about 1 Great Black-Backed Gull (Larus marinus) egg.

Doesn't get cold here too often but this morning I was greeted to upper 30's/low 40's (brrrrrr). So for the first time since purchased, I used the heater and seat warmers in my volt during my 17 mile morning commute and used this much gas:

Dude, you are in the wrong sub-forum. **TROLL ALERT**

You can start your own thread in Volt sub-forum. I'll be happy to discuss how much extra electricity and the recharge time it took.

    2.1 miles / 60 MPG = 0.035 gal.

That's 132 ml. One jumbo egg + one medium egg? ;)

Was gas used for heat? If so, how long?

I had a couple fried eggs on toast this morning !

There may have been a bird kill in West Texas as well.

I enjoyed the humor. I think it is lost on some though. :)

Nope, pushed the accelerator too hard and had to deal with the consequences. 55 outside.

Gotcha. You probably gained one EV miles plus consider it an engine maintenance/work out.
