How many Prius do you see daily?

I live in a town with a population of about 52,000 and the most I have ever seen in one day is 3 while traveling between the Tri-Cities region of East TN. Yesterday, I saw 5! All were different colors except one that I parked beside of at the grocery store and it was the same color as mine. How cool is that.

I feel the same way in the SF area. A couple weeks ago I tried counting Prii on the way home from work and saw 37 (my commute takes about 25-30 minutes), I'm sure some were missed too.

 

I live in Walla Walla, WA. pop 28,000, I see a minimum of 3 to 4 a day. I was out earlier to day, drove less than 8 miles around town and saw 5 with two waves and two the five was the same color as mine. love my car.

 

I live in the Dallas area (several million) and see about 20 a day on my commute (including several owned by the city). They are certainly the exception. I did see my first Hylander hybrid on the road yesterday.

 

yesterday, my normal commute day, no Prius, 4 Smart fortwo, and one H2 Fuel Cell Focus. Toyota should do more advertising of them.

 

on my commute (around 6 miles) i will see 3-5. if i do any running around for errands, etc i see up to 25.

this is in a town of ~300,000.

 

I see from 0 - 3 round-trip during my short 4-5 mile commute. Probably about 60,000 in the city limits and a lot of nearby rural towns. But it seems like there are more around here all the time. When I see them parked in the public lot outside my office I want to skulk around and wait for the owner, but unfortunately I always have to get back to work.

 

I just got back from 3 weeks in Binghamton, NY working flood relief for the Red Cross. I saw 3 Prius cars while working the roads. I thought I would see a lot more in New York State area. Another note is that when I got home my Prius started up without any problem. You got to love this car !!!

 

The place is alive with them out here in SoCal.

Why just this morning as I was stealthing my way up the Hollywood Freeway, I was passed by Larry David and his wife drag-racing their two Prii. Harrison and Meryl were on the same off-ramp heading toward Rodeo Drive and Sting was on the roadside getting a ticket from the CHP for his high-speed jinks. Gywneth and Charlize passed each other without so much as a thumbs up. Leonardo was pulling into IHOP as Robin cruised by shouting some very funny things into his nav system.

It's non-stop...........

 

There must be a lot in the Bay Area because I see at least three or four a day and as many as 10 or 12 when I'm out and about on weekends. I play a "game" where I try to see if I can spot one in each color for 05 and 06 in a single trip. I've come close but haven't quite made it through all colors yet, though...

 

i work in a local shopping center. I see anywhere from 6 to 2 dozen Prius a day. Every once and a while maybe even more. I saw this neat one today. There were silver biohazard emblems on the front bumper. The emblem was changed, It was black with dark tint. The rear lights were tinted too. it looks as if he had toms exhaust and possibly some stiffening plates. I couldn't get a view under the car.

 

I am not sure how much of this is the "awareness" issue, or if they have been there all along. I only remember seeing VERY few before I got mine in May. OTOH, the other day, I popped out of my office and saw 2 (ok, 1 mine) Prii and an Insight parked all in a row, right outside my door...and I don't think I'd have missed that! I don't get out of town much (about 55k residents), but I am seeing more and more of 'em when I do venture elsewhere. And none of 'em WAVE!

 

this was the busiest morning ever at Trader Joe's! 5 Prii in the lot. Every small trip I took today (it was 113 out...trips were short and hot...gas mileage shot!) I saw at least one or two for every 1/2-1 mile. Three of them were brand spanking new. My little area of La Mesa is not huge but I am always impressed with the number of Prii that are on our roads.

 

I had been seeing only one or two a day, but the last couple weks they seem to be multiplying around here and I'm seeing 5 or 6 a day now.Wonder if a big shipment came in.

The other day I saw 12!!! I couldn't believe it. Before then the most I had seen in one day was 4

 

I was really surprised the other day when I was getting in line to get in the underground parking and found myself immediately behind another Prius. That's definitely a first. I usually see from 1 to 3 other Prii on my 6 mile commute.

Someone in the same undergound parking has the earlier version but I've seen it look so clean and shiny that it looks like it could be a year old or so.

 

I live in a pretty small town (population of just 10,000). It is basically a college town, but many of the permanent residents are retired people. And i tend to see about 5-6 Prii everyday !!

I agree with the awareness comment. Before I got my Prius I was oblivious. Regarding waving, I'd really prefer not to have my arm fall off!

 

I usually see two each day. One black one and one white one. Both driven by women and both have kids in them.

 

Before the beginning of the year, I'd never seen any Prius on the roads - of either model. When I got mine I'd seen like two ever, now I know of maybe three in Cardiff, and I've seen another couple here and there (see my previous thread for pics of me next to an identical Prius in an otherwise empty carpark). I'll see one or two if I head close to London on the M4.. Sales are slow but steady here in TDI-land. I see one every few weeks in my provincial town.

In November 2005 when being driven between my wife's family home in Fond du Lac, WI and the airport in Chicago I saw about four or five on one trip. They were my first sightings.
