How many miles were on your 2010 Prius upon delivery?

Well, there were 11 miles, but most of that was from the dealer picking me up at the train station when I came to get the car.

However, when the dealership did the mile disclosure paperwork, it said 146 miles. I was very confused (hadn't looked at the odometer yet), and they claimed it was from a transfer from a different dealership or something.

Once I got in the car, I realized that they confused the odometer reading with the "how many miles can you drive before you need to fill up" display. Wow... the dealership didn't even know how to read the odometer correctly!

 

9 Miles. Dealer claimed he needed to drive to a gas station for a fill up. I can live with that - this was the fewest number of miles I have ever had on a new car.

 

My 2010 IV with NAV had 8 miles on it. I put at least half of that on it for my test drive. The other half was probably for inspection and fill up.

 

mine had 8 - due to fill up (according to the dealer).

 

Mine had 10 on it when I arrived, then we drove it to dinner with the wife and kids, for 6 more miles, so they entered 16 as the official documents.

 

I got 7 miles when I pick-up my new Prius. The dealer drove the car from storage to showroom which is normal in NYC.

My 2006 had 2 miles on it. My 2010 is due 7/22 and I am buying it straight off the car carrier. It's the V with the advanced tech package. The dealer has one he uses for demos, so I am pretty sure I will get this without too many people sitting in it.

The trick to avoiding unnecesary test drives is to get the salesman to give you the exact delivery date (date truck is due at the dealership). It is extremely rare that the trucks don't make the appointments. You can tell when your car has been received at the POE when your salseman can give you a permanent VIN. They issue a temporary VIN to track your car until it has been received.

Dealers have computer access to all allocated inventory. Just ask the salesman to avoid adding miles before delivery.

 

6 miles, gassed up and dealer prep complete. No test drives as the dealer kept it in the back out of sight until I picked it up.

 

I had 17 miles on mine. I watched my salesman run down the lot after an older couple hopped in my "just purchased Prius" for a test drive. I would have been angry if it wasn't so dang funny to watch.

 

Mine had 3mi on it. I was at the dealership when it came off of the truck.

Mine had one mile when I first saw it, and three miles after the dealership took it to the gas station.

 

It was on trip A when we took delivery. It stayson trip A if you leave it set there. I really did not think much of it. I started reading the manual to reset the trip and that is when I found the extra mileage. The dealer denies it was driven. I had read that Toyota pulls a certain number of cars for QA and they will have higher mileage on them. My wife called the Toyota customer service and they said there is no way of knowing if this was a QA vehicle. I wish tere was a way to prove they lied about the mileage. It is our word against theirs. We both signed a mileage affidavit stating there were 3 miles on the car. Our salesman was reading the manuals when we arrived to pick up the Prius. He would not have known the difference between the trip and the radio mode buttons.

 

Delivered 6/6/09 with 2 miles on it!

 

Took delivery of mine yesterday (7-6-2009) with 12 miles on it. It was on the lot since 7-1-2009 (was on vacation when it arrived). It will now see a 130 mile (round trip) commute every day.

 

I had 88 miles. That seems high compared to others here, but I bought from the lot and not from an order. Also, this dealer allows fairly long test drives. I was fine with it.

 

Picked it up on June 20 and the paperwork said 9 mi. When I drove off the lot, I saw that it was actually 0.9 mi!
