My '05 has 142k. The factory-issued ATF was replaced at 32k and at 68k when the HV electric coolant pump was recalled. At 100k service, the ATF was replaced again. I'm planning to do the next ATF & coolant service at 150k.

I've read ^ ^ ^ before. Does anyone have the normal operating temperature of the coolant in the inverter or MG1/MG2? How much higher (hotter) is it than the ICE coolant?

xx on mine. Don't think there is anything to worry about it. Honestly it will out live both the engine, body and traction battery. I'm not kidding, the power split device is an amazing "transmission". My fluid has been changed at least twice.

The absolute worst place for a transmission is San Fransisco, especially for the PSD since it drives the Prius up/down the hills but it is also being used to charge the battery! I'm sure luscious garage Isn't too surprised buy Occasional failed prii taxi transaxles
