I'll bow to your logic on that, sir!

Thank you for those vital statistics!

However, believe me when I say that there are more Prii in London, than you could shake a stick at

Aye! There really are a lot of them gliding about here.....both private and mini cabs. I guess I notice them more, because I have an eye out for them. But I see them everywhere.....even when I'm not looking for them.

I mean, I live in a relatively secluded spot on top of a hill, yet, several times a day, I hear the faint electronic whine of a Prius inverter, as it glides silently past my house! Several times a day. Yet, I'm the only one on the hill with a Prius

I guess the fact that if you get the 15" version it's excempt from the congestion charge is partly the reason you see so many in London.

Yup! That plays a major role, of course. Another thing is, there are a lot of cars of a wide range of models in London, but Prii stand out, not only because they're bring bought to avoid the Congestion Charge, but they're also cheap on petrol (which costs a bomb and a half in the UK), and the "Road Tax" which has to be paid every year - most modern Prii are exempt from this, which on average costs over £200 for a run of the mill 2.0 litre vehicle.

Even my 2008 Prius Tspirit pays the princely sum of £10.00 road tax for an entire year .
My last car, a Mazda MX-3 cost me £235 a year, or whereabouts! That's presently over 4 full tanks of regular unleaded for my Prius.....or about 2,200+ miles of driving!!!

Nice! You could say that I grew up here in Plano as well (kinda / sorta). Been here since I was about 12 or 13 and still here (moved here in '99). I'm stuck here in the west side... I guess I'm used to the environment and culture here, so maybe it's safe to call this home right about now.

I see tons of gen 3's and beyond, but very rarely the latest gen 4's. It'll catch on eventually since the latest iteration is still fairly new and owners are still getting their monies worth with prior generations since they continue to run strong.

We may run into each other... I'm the odd one without tinted windows and without a front plate, lol.

I've seen two or three 2016 Prius in town. That's a low count for a town that has very many Prius of previous years. It seems like white is the color of choice, and Gen III is the highest volume.

There are quite a few Gen IVs on the Toyota lot. They don't seem to be selling too rapidly.

White doesn't show scratches as much. That's one of the reasons I drive a white car. I like red the best though. Just not on my car. ;)

My previous 3 cars were red. My motive during those times was to get a classic and popping color which wouldn't get old. Ended up choosing white because I wanted the purity and soberness - complete opposite of how I used to be.

When I'm driving, I don't care what color the car is. I don't really care what other people think either. I love red but I agree with you. White just seems bland and practical. Oh... it's easier to see at night too. That DOES matter to me if I ever get out to another astronomy event where no lights are allowed.

Our three Toyotas are all white. One by choice, two of them because that's what was available. Strictly out of boredom the plan for the next car is not white.

White does stay cooler in the intense California sun.

That reminds me I'm going to have to very quickly learn how to open the car without any lights flashing. We've got a star camp to go to 2 weeks after we get our Prius.

There is a sea glass pearl gen 4 and a white one that I keep seeing on the east side. Mine's a white 2012. What color is your 16?

Mine's BP (white). I do tend to run to the east side every now and then... I'm more so on the west, however, errands do getting me running all about. That's what the Prius is for.

I am seeing a few more lately, but I can tell you one place I have not seen a single one yet-- on the showroom floor at any one of of several Massachusetts Toyota dealers.

Not for lack of inventory, I just don't see them inside. Not out front, either.

I see several at my dealer... But I see them moving reasonably well also since the good incentives from Toyota along with good dealer pricing...

I believe Carista has an option to disable the signal flashes on lock/unlock. As a cheaper option, try using the physical key in the driver's door.

Thank you, I'd thought that might be the case as with my Yaris but didn't want to assume it as the last place you want to test the theory is in the middle of a star camp :)
