How long did it take you to get your CAV decals? CA owners.

Ok if that's the case Gokhan , All you Prius owners or Hybrid owners out there that have gotten tickets driving in the carpool lane Chime out. This will be interesting.

I paid my fee for the "right to use the carpool lane" so 1sticker shouldn't send out a RED FLAG. I'll take my chances. I'll post my ticket when that happens.

 

I just received my blue CAV sticker! took about 95 days since I mailed out the application!

 

Ha, it sounds like first-class mail took two days to arrive because you live in Northern California, and I might receive mine tomorrow then. However, they may have received your application a day earlier for the same reason.

 

Yep, I received mine on Thursday, April 8, three days after the postmark date on the envelope. They are of a nice shade of blue.

For those who are interested. I got my Fastrak CAV in 3 business days after applying online. Applied last Friday, recieved it yesterday (Tuesday)

 

That's because in that case, they make money out of you. No, thanks, not interested, and it should be illegal in my opinion because it increases congestion, greenhouse gases, and it's discriminatory.

 

I agree, I hate the idea of express lanes. I really don't plan to use the express lanes. I just got it because the transponder itself was free in case I ever needed to use it.

 

My theory is that the Department of Transportation (DOT) and other local officials build these express lanes for themselves. LOL

 

The FASTRAK transponder is not free as there is a "$1/month maintenance fee on the account" atleast thats what the money hungry govt tells me. Probably not making money on few single riders in the car pool lane.

And I'm still waiting for my HOV sticker

Hmm: go figure I thought if you had the HOV sticker and transponder that there was no charge... boy was i wrong .. good thing I just checked. And yeah SoCal is getting hosed over again in charges. We are only getting a whoopping 15% discount off the rate. Atleast in NorCal its 50% off the rate.

 

The Fastrak cost is dependent on which agency you get it from. Fastrak CAV which is only available from BayAreaFastrak, does not charge transponder or account fees. It is annoying too when you use toll roads, express lanes or cross bridges, each have their own HOV/Carpool requirement.

 

After 4 months it looks like ill be receiving mine soon.
Application mailed Jan 12 check was cashed May 10.

I just got mine yesterday after 4 months.
You gotta put them on with Paint protection film so you can get them off without messing up your paint .

 

Based on that timeframe I won’t be getting mine until mid-July.. Congrats on reaching the milestone where the DMV cashed your check.

 

Yeah. As soon as i saw that the check posted on my account i ordered some precut ppf.

Well.. It's being a little over a week since they cashed the check and still havent receive them. It shouldn't take that many days in the mail since i live 2 hrs away from Sacramento. 4 1/2 months now

I've creeping around the forums for years. But now that i got the prime finally decided to get an account lol

 

The DMV finally cashed the check a couple days ago (May 19th). My wife mailed the application the day after I received the license plates (March 3rd), so it took roughly two and a half months to reach this point. Hopefully the sticker will arrive in the next few weeks.

 

I just got a 2021 Prime XLE couple days ago. May I ask if I can apply the CAV with the temp registration (one stick on the window)?
Or I need to wait till I get the real registration/license plate?

You need to wait till you get the regular registration or it will bounce it back to you. Then pay the fee and wait about 4 months.

 

I found a working number that a person actually answers to check on status of the application. The nice lady said they are working on the applications that were submitted mid March 2021. She said mines has not been worked on yet. Here is the number you can call
