How long did it take you to get your CAV decals? CA owners.

Doesn’t matter if it was cashed or not, it’s the date you applied, not the date the check was posted.

Orange??! I was hoping for blue or gray. I guess I will have to live with that unless I wait for a full year for the next sticker. LOL.

Black, brown, blue, and gray (or silver) are the only available colors for the last two remaining stickers of the program (2021 and 2022) before it expires for good. However, let's not rule out pink. They will probably go with blue and gray, not necessarily in that order.

 

I did mine a month ago and the check is NOT cashed yet. However, based on the feedback here, it looks like should be done in the coming week or two.

 

It is the date it is approved, typically the date the check is cashed, not the time you applied.

 

My guess is that the DMV hasn't been issuing the purple 2019 stickers in the last month or two because the orange 2020 stickers will be released in two days.

 

Well, today on Thursday, January 2, 2020, I mailed my application with the $22 check. I'm expecting the typical two - three-week DMV processing time. Let us know when you receive your decals.

 

Nothing for me as well. Did you submit yours with the temporary license and registration or was it he permanent one?

 

This is DMV we're talking about. It wouldn't surprise me if all applications received in the last couple of months have been sitting in a basket because it was the end of the year. They will probably process all of them very soon (soon in the DMV world meaning two to three weeks, which is the smallest time period over there to do the simplest task like printing something and mailing it in an envelope).

 

I'm still waiting for my check to clear from 11/11/19.

 

Or if they function like airplane baggage, it will be first in, last out.

 

Took mine close to 6 weeks after sending in my application and payment to arrive in my mailbox. I did "the big 3" only about 2 weeks after buying my car. But I did get my PG&E and State at around 6 and 8 weeks as well. And the 4th is coming up when I file my fed. Not sure how that one will go but fingers are crossed.

 

When I applied on 1/2/2019, it took about 6 weeks for the stickers to arrive.

Also, there were people who applied in December 2018 who got the following year's sticker - and they got theirs a few weeks before anyone who applied in January 2019 did!

 

The third would probably be the utility company rebate. I believe SCE is offering $1000 cash back now (used to be $500 - when do you ever see rebates go up?). Of course I missed the $1k rebate ...
