Hopefully 10 years, but right now with my commute I'm looking at around 30k - 35k miles a year, 10 years might be tough for that, but we'll see. My friend has a Prius with 400k on it and still going, so maybe mine will make it that long.
any idea what I can execpt to get for my Prius C II? I will have about 35k Miles on it in four years...I paid 20,800 otd. Whats my value looking like in 4-5 years? Will i get atlest 10k for the car?
Holy cow...400,000 miles? What year and out of curiosity, if your friend's car isn't a taxi, how did they rack up that mileage? And how much work have they had to do to keep the car running?
I'm pretty sure it is a '05. He's a tech for a computer company and has a company car. He does about 200+ m/day on house calls plus daily commute to/from work, and misc driving.
It was serviced once for some electrical problem that caused the car to not be able to start at about 80k miles, still under warranty at the time. Other than that just regular maintenance.
I will undoubtedly do as I have done with all my Toyotas, drive it until it kicks its feet up and dies, or until something more appealing from Toyota becomes available.
I leased mine, so probably 2.5-3 years. I might consider buying it when the lease is up or I might see what else is around.
