jdcollins5: I don't know if Priuschat will allow posting the name of dealerships with negative comments. I will PM them to you.

In other news -- I got my follow-up call from Toyota today and they said they spoke with the dealership. The issue on my car is noted on the case and recorded with my VIN. They won't do anything else about it until the TPMS system has an "identifiable" failure.

I think that means that over the next few years, when the TPMS warning comes on, the dealership will note it but not do anything else about it.

I guess Toyota doesn't really back up their warranties on issues like this. My next car will not be a Toyota.

If worse comes to worse and the problem is the sensors, have a place that does a lot of tires check it out. Most of them handle the sensors and the diag equipment nowadays.

I am a bit confused. Are you saying that Toyota knows that they have a problem -- but at this date does not know how to fix it? This is actually more common than you think. This is what it sound like. Not that it makes it any better.
