Which brings up my own question: do you all have a preference between Dr. ColorChip and the Langka method? Or are they two different processes for different levels of paint damage? I really want to clean up the egg marks on my '11 Prius...

3M wrap, where exactly would one go to inquire about getting this done?

Just order Dr. ColorChip and be done with it... it's really simple.

Use your zip, it'll give a list of the dealers in your area, and then you can call them.

Maybe you should get a security camera. Ahh good ol' Prii hatred, what's up with that!

Sorry u have to go through such Prius discrimination in your own home or neighborhood Cyberchomp. Lucky for me I don't have to worry about that behavior around my house, knock on wood it stays that way;).

I can imagine the egg marks are a bitch to get off. Have u tried light-duty (fine) polish compound?

Seems a bit hard to believe when their TV commercial touts:
"Recommended by the Wall Street Journal".

I wouldn't believe anything "Wall Street" has to say if I had to cross the street to put it out if it was on fire :) I'm one of the fortunate few who didn't lose their nice person in the 2008 crash.

I have been investigating options for a couple of scratches that we have on the Prius. Dr. Color Chip does not get good reviews. Google it. I am going to have the areas air brushed. This was done on a car I owned years ago that I bought used. I didn't realize the air brush was done on the hood until like a year later. The color match and blending was that good. I don't expect it to cost too much to do.

Got a replacement mirror cap from dealer for $51.45.
Came pre-painted with a perfect color match.
    Car looks perfect again.
I think I'll hand wash it with Meguiars wash-n-wax from now on.
Safer than risking a scrape at the car wash and it looks alot better when I do it.

I looked at Dr Color Chip but it was $48 shipped for the kit.
And I would have needed to do the work,
So for a few dollars more, the new part was the right way to go for me.

Had the 5000 mile complimentary service done on Monday.
That included a free wheel rotation.
But I paid for the oil (synthetic) and filter.
And of course, I had to reset the tyre pressure (40 front, 38 rear) due to the rotation.

Ready for the next 5K miles.

I've got a few small paint chips that have rust in them along my drivers side rocker panel (photo attached). Does it make sense to just sand these until there is no rust and then apply a paint pen? Or should i sand away the rust and then apply a primer, and then a paint pen?

I fixed some spots like this above the winshield on my Gen II by sanding and then applying primer and then a "toyota silver" paint from the local hardware store that didn't match well. My Gen III is Blizzard Pearl and a much nicer car so I'd like the repair to be effective at preventing rust from spreading and also be invisible as possible.

I am open to suggestions on where the best place is currently to get blizzard pearl touch up paint or a paint pen.
