The SE/SS utilizes a rolling code both to open the door and onces again when you press the "Power" button. So in essence, it's a double security code. I think that it's unlikely that someone would sit with a laptop, let alone a PDA, transmitting radomly generated codes to gain access to the Prius only to have to sit for hours on end again transmitting a randomly generated code to enable the "Power" button. There are much easier marks out there for the professional car thief and they know this. However, all that said, it boils down to this, if someone wants it bad enough, it doesn't matter what type of security you have on it, it's gone. Right now, unless someone has a supply of ECU's to replace the one in the car, the Prius would be parted out...so even LoJack is not going to help unless you realize the car is stolen within an hour or two after it has been stolen. Professional chop shops can have the car stripped and parted in a matter of hours. Just my $0.02 :guns:
